It's hard to know for sure what really transpired between the love triangle of Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, and Hailey Bieber. But sources have said that Justin kept telling Selena that he would never get over her and that he loved her—up until the day he married Hailey. Justin has also been accused of sleeping with three different Kardashian sisters (Kendall, Kylie, and even Kourtney), as well as stars like Halsey and Sofia Richie, and apparently most of this happened after he was already romantically linked to Hailey. Regardless of what really happened with these celebrities, lines were drawn in the sand between Selena and her friends (including and especially Taylor Swift) and Hailey and her crew (Kendall and Kylie, Justine Skye).

An old video of Hailey resurfaced in which she gagged at the mention of Taylor Swift's name, and Selena quickly defended Taylor in the comment section, only to delete the whole correspondence moments later. Since then, many fans in both camps have speculated that the two despise each other and are still bitter about what happened over Justin. But Selena posted something on her story on Friday morning in an attempt to put a stop to all of the drama.

A couple of weeks ago, Selena announced that she would be taking a break from social media because "this is a little silly." She said she's 30 years old and she's "too old for this," seemingly referring to the petty drama that was taking place between all the girls. "But I love you guys so much, and I will see you guys sooner than later. I'm going to just take a break from everything," she concluded. Selena has always been a mental health advocate and often talks about how stepping back from social media has been a positive impact on her mental wellness.

On Friday, she reemerged to tell her fans that Hailey had gotten in touch with her about some inappropriate things that were being sent to her. "Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity," she wrote in her Instagram stories. "This isn't what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying. I've always advocated for kindness and really want this all to stop." Selena didn't share any details about what exactly was said and how these threats were being sent to Hailey. She just asked her fans to stop.

Selena also followed Hailey on Instagram, which some are speculating was a gesture of goodwill. Perhaps the two are ready to put everything behind them and move on. When Selena's message was shared on shared on Twitter, many people were quick to point out that Selena has done more to stick up for Hailey than her own husband Justin. Some fans wondered aloud whether Justin would ever say a thing, considering the only time he even posted about Hailey since this feud started was a couple of birthday pictures in which her back was to the camera, and he wasn't smiling in the photos.

Hailey has not said anything publicly yet about Selena's plea to her fans. The only things on her stories are promotions of Rhode and her Erewhon smoothie. Fans are impatiently waiting to hear if she'll add to the conversation.
