Users believe the Capitol riots that took place on January 6, 2021, were staged. New footage released by Tucker Carlson displays the so-called "riot" as a peaceful gathering. The video includes the infamous QAnon Shaman being led through the Capitol building by police.

Tucker Carlson released never-before-seen footage of the January 6 Capitol "riots" on Monday. The footage shows infamous rioter "QAnon Shaman" being led safely by police through the Capitol building, a stark difference from the "violent" protest the media wrote headlines about back in 2021. “The footage does not show an insurrection or a riot in progress,” Carlson told his viewers. “Instead, it shows police escorting people through the building, including the now-infamous ‘QAnon Shaman.’"

Carlson supposedly has the videos thanks to House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, who granted the Fox News host access to more than 40,000 hours of security footage. Carlson, among others, believes Jacob Chansley – best known as QAnon Shaman – was being guided by police at the Capitol. They appear to be escorting him to several entrances that seem locked in the video and even help him open a door so that he could enter the chamber. But prosecutors say the Capitol Police asked Chansley and other rioters to leave, according to court documents.

This is not the first time the January 6 incident has been speculated to have been staged. Rioters have been accused of being "bad actors" in the past.

Chansley also allegedly had an acting page online before it got deleted.

Interestingly, Nancy Pelosi's son-in-law Michiel Vos posed for a picture with Chansley the day of the insurrection, but AP News states it's because he was reporting on-site.

On January 6, 2021, The White House revealed that a Capitol Police Officer, Brian D. Sicknick, lost his life after protecting representatives, while reports state he actually died from natural causes.

Representative Jamie Raskin of Maryland warns that Carlson poses a "serious security risk," hence why Capitol security footage was withheld for so long. “There’s thousands of hours of footage that are out there already,” Raskin informed MSNBC last month. “But the reason all of it wasn’t released is precisely because it lays out floor design, it lays out evacuation routes, it lays out where the vice president went, it lays out where the senior members of Congress were evacuated, and so on.”
