Sofia Richie Is Simplicity and Elegance at Its Finest

Done by Margot Robbie's makeup artist Pati Dubroff, Richie went for a simple yet timeless soft glam look, complete with a slicked-back bridal bun and middle part meticulously crafted by the star's longtime hairstylist and friend Kathleen Riley.

Serving as a reminder that less is more, Sofia's gorgeous makeup was all about natural skin, a sunkissed complexion, and subtle highlighting, while her hairstyle oozed simplicity and elegance at its finest.

Nothing short of perfection, both professionals in their industries put a lot of emphasis on showcasing Richie's natural beauty and accentuating her features in the simplest yet most striking ways that have taken the beauty world by storm and ushered in a new era of bridal trends.

A Simple Bridal Look with Attention to Detail

Similarly to the look itself, the techniques both professionals used to sculpt Sofia Richie to perfection on her big day are simple but nevertheless require great attention to detail.

For makeup, Dubroff prepped Sofia's complexion with a few swipes of her signature Hourglass Vanish Foundation Stick, followed by a light dusting of powder in the undereye area and center of the forehead to set everything in place without diminishing the glow that illuminated her face.

To accentuate her cheeks, the celebrity makeup artist used the Nudestix Matte Cream Bronzer in the shade Sunkissed, a natural, nude shade, to subtly contour the model's features before following it up with the lightest touch of the Nudestix Matte Cream Blush in Picante. This bright orange shade subtly warmed up her cheeks without distracting from the overall look.

Her eyes were also kept fresh, simple, and slightly contoured with the Chanel Stylo Ombre Et Contour Eye Pen in Contour Claire blended out to perfection. This was followed by a thin layer of sheer gold eyeshadow mixed in a clear balm for that extra glide to complement her warm undertone and give a pop of glitz before finishing with two coats of the Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof Mascara, which is the go-to product for many celebrity makeup artists.

Dubroff has revealed that the second layer of sparkly eyeshadow has sadly been discontinued, but we've done our diligence and compiled a list of alternatives down below that are sure to give you the same effortless yet stunning effect.

Finally, for Sofia's lips, Dubroff opted for a nude lip with a hint of pink tone and a velvety finish to give them that soft bridal look.

Contouring the edges of Richie's lips with DIBS Beauty No Pressure Lip Definer in a nude, almost gray shade to achieve that naturally enhanced definition, the makeup artist then filled them in with Chanel Rouge Coco Baume in the shade Pink Delight, a light pink color that perfectly balanced the look and is one of the products everyone is now trying to get their hands on.

To wrap everything up and add a little extra warmth to Sofia's complexion, Dubroff finished the look by lightly swirling a fluffy makeup brush into Makeup by Mario Transforming Skin Enhancer, and applying it to the temples and the top of her forehead, emphasizing that it's nothing too heavy but gives a perfect sunkissed look.

For Sofia’s hair, Riley kept her tresses looking polished and sleek with an easy-to-achieve middle part and a "very classic bridal bun."

The clean, center-parted knot was held in place and free of flyaways by a few spritzes of the Got2b Flex Insta-Hold Hairspray, along with a blonde clip-in that helped secure the bun without needing extra pins and more hassle.

Describing her final beauty look as "stunning and angelic," the two friends and beauty professionals rightfully gushed over achieving an almost divine result that not only looks effortless and timeless but is also easy to recreate with items you can find at any beauty store.

Achieving Richie's Angelic Look on a Budget

Sofia Richie is a Chanel girl through and through; therefore, it wasn't a surprise that the luxury label was one of the highlights of her bridal glam.

However, while some of these products are definitely worth investing in, we understand that not everyone has the budget to put together a look like this one, hence why we did some research and came up with a list of some excellent dupes that will help you achieve the model's timeless glam while spending significantly less.

Starting with a foundation that will give you a beautiful glowing complexion for a fraction of the price, we recommend trying the L'Oréal True Match Super-Blendable Foundation, which has a light, buildable coverage, a radiant finish, and a far better range of shades to choose from.

Moving on to the cheeks, you can use the ULTA Beauty Oh My Glow Cream Bronzer to create a subtle contour and accentuate your features. To achieve Sofia's iconic flush of color and save money, opt for the e.l.f. Luminous Putty Blush, which features an almost exact color dupe to the Nudestix used by the model's makeup artist and retails for only $7.

Keeping the eye simple and opting for a more affordable product is also possible with the Kiko Milano Long Lasting Eyeshadow Stick, which comes in both the taupe contour shade and the discontinued gold shade Dubroff used along a clear balm to give an effortless sheen to the lids.

As for the lashes, if $12 for the Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof Mascara is still a bit steep, there are always Essence mascaras to choose from, which retail for no more than $5 and provide the same voluminous look as their more expensive counterpart.

For the lips, you can opt for the affordable and ultra-creamy Soft & Precise Lip Pencil by Essence in the shade Legendary to contour your lips and create that barely-there effect.

And finally, if shedding $45 on a Chanel lipstick isn't something you're ready to do, the NYX High Shine Long-Lasting Liquid Lipstick in the shade Born to Hustle, which features a matte and a glossy side, all for $12, is definitely an option you should consider.

To warm up your complexion and wrap up the look the way Dubroff did, you can use a tiny amount of the Tower 28 Beauty Bronzino Illuminating Cream Bronzer, which comes in five complexion-adaptable shades and retails for $20.

Closing Thoughts

While paying attention to the small details is crucial to achieving it girl Sofia Richie's timeless and angelic bridal look, making an effort is definitely worth it for the final results.
