Hilaria Baldwin Confronts Paparazzi And Demands They "Stay Away" From Her Children And Stop Asking About Alec Baldwin's Manslaughter Charges
After pulling the trigger on the set of a movie called "Rust," Alec Baldwin killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on October 21, 2021. He is being charged with involuntary manslaughter. His wife Hilaria Baldwin confronted the paparazzi on the street and demanded they leave her family alone.

While filming a new movie called "Rust," Alec Baldwin, who acted in and produced the film, fired a prop gun loaded with a blank cartridge and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, 42, and injured director Joel Souza, 48. Production was halted and and Alec's spokesperson issued a statement saying that it was "an accident." Baldwin was heavily criticized for his lack of trigger discipline, and even more importantly, his failure to take full responsibility for the tragedy that cost a wife and mother her life. In March 2022, he claimed at the Boulder International Film Festival that people were simply coming after him for his money, referring to himself as a "deep pockets litigant." Hutchins' husband, Matthew Hutchins, said in a previous interview, "Almost sounds like he was the victim. And hearing him blame Halyna in the interview and shift responsibility to others and seeing him cry about it, I just feel like, ‘Are we really supposed to feel bad about you, Mr. Baldwin?'”
Alec is being charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter. The charges carry up to 18 months in prison or a mandatory five years if he is convicted with a firearm enhancement, but many suspect that he will evade prison time. Recently, his wife of over a decade, Hilaria Baldwin, stopped on the streets of New York City to confront the paparazzi and tell them to back off.
Hilaria Baldwin Confronts Paparazzi and Demands They "Stay Away" from Her Children and Stop Asking About Alec Baldwin's Manslaughter Charges
A mother of seven children, Hilaria Baldwin, 39, routinely posts photos and videos of her children on social media. But in a recent incident with the paparazzi in New York City, she made it clear that she doesn't appreciate the nonstop attempts to interview her or her husband on the street while they're trying to get their kids to and from school.
In the clip shared on Instagram, Hilaria is wearing a green sweatshirt, large sunglasses, and her hair is pulled back in a loose ponytail. The paparazzi asked her to comment on the charges brought against her husband, but she stopped them and said, "I'm going to tell you what I'm going to say. Okay? You're not going to ask me questions. I'm going to tell you. Okay?" They agreed to listen and she continued.
"I want you guys to realize that we have seven kids and you being here to escort them to school and to be there when they come home is not good," she said. "So on a human level, you guys know I'm not going to say anything to you. You know that. So please leave my family in peace and let this all play out. Okay? So let my kids come home and you stay away from them because they ask me, 'Mommy, what... like, what are these people doing?' And it's a very hard thing as a mom to try to explain. So please go home because I'm not going to say anything and Alec is not going to say anything."
Many people in the comment section can't help but notice her fake Spanish accent that she has been using for several years, despite the fact that she was born and raised in the United States and doesn't have any Spanish blood in her.
She was carrying her youngest baby in a carrier on her chest and she promptly walked away as soon as she was done talking. Hilaria has spoken out recently on her podcast "Witches Anonymous," referring to this as "an emotional time for my family." She thanked her fans for their "kindness" and said they would "crumble" if they didn't have their support. "So thank you so much for being our rock right now because I don't feel so strong," she said.
She interviewed Dr. Hillary Goldsher about parenting, especially during difficult times. "Kids are sponges and certain conversations are not always age-appropriate; we cannot deny that they don't feel the energy and pick up on certain things in the family," Hilaria said. "And one of the things that I really appreciated that Dr. Goldsher told us [is] sometimes teaching them not to be afraid of the emotion and the pain and not afraid of going through hard times. That actually is such a gift because it's going to teach them to be resilient and understand that feelings are temporary and better times are going to come again."
Alec's attorneys say they will fight the charges and help people understand that he had no reason to believe that the gun held a live bullet. "He relied on the professionals with whom he worked, who assured him the gun did not have live rounds," his attorney Luke Nikas said.
