It’s important to prioritize quality time with your man any time of the year, but there’s something particularly renewing and uplifting about spring. With the end of winter, the softer weather and the new plants and animals all around, spring has a strong psychological effect on humankind, especially in contrast to the quiet and cold of wintertime.

So, capitalize on the warmer weather that springtime has to offer with these 10 fun date ideas!

1. Plan a Picnic

Forever one of the best date ideas there are, picnics provide an idyllic experience and a great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, spend time with your man, and share a meal together.

2. Hike

Look up state parks in your area and set off on a hike. A hike is a great way to admire the beauty of nature while also getting in a low impact workout, and some quality conversation time with your loved one. And it doesn't have to be a difficult one; just get outdoors and start walking!

3. Go for a Bike Ride

Get active by going on a bike ride date with your man. You can either bike for the sake of biking, or have a fun destination where you’ll end up. Be sure to bring snacks and water, and do some sightseeing as you go.

4. Get Out on the Water

Now that winter is over, it’s time to get out on the water again. Rent paddle boards, a kayak, canoe, or a paddle boat, and enjoy an afternoon sure to create fun memories and break up your routine a bit.

5. Outdoor Movie or Music Night

Watching a movie or listening to live music outdoors is a refreshing alternative to the movie theater or a traditional concert venue. Whether you visit a drive-in theater, use a projector, or even just your laptop in your backyard, an outdoor movie night is a great way to enjoy a springtime evening.

6. Play a Racquet Sport

Spring has the perfect weather for athletic activities since it’s no longer cold but not too hot yet. Embrace the country club ideal, and hit the court with your man for an exciting game of pickle ball or tennis.

7. Eat Dinner al Fresco

Nothing beats eating dinner outside. Find a restaurant with great outdoor seating and share an iconic experience of eating dinner in the fresh air. Food really does taste better outside.

8. Cook a Farm-to-Table Meal

Spring is the time for new produce coming in season, so, as a challenge, plan a meal in which you get all your groceries at the local farmer’s market and then cook together and share a true farm-to-table meal.

9. Go Strawberry Picking

Springtime is the season for strawberries, with the harvest starting as early as the end of February in Florida and spreading northwards and westwards in the following months, so be sure to visit the fields and pick some yourself. If you don’t have strawberries in your location, look into another agricultural experience to share, for example, picking seasonal flowers like lavender or watching butterfly migration.

10. Watch the Sunrise or Sunset Together

Watching the sun rise or set is a sweet way to spend the day together. Find a great vista and watch the beautiful colors of the sun paint the sky while cuddling up together.

Closing Thoughts

It’s always a good idea to be intentional about spending time both with your loved one and in the outdoors. With the arrival of spring, there are so many opportunities to do just that!
