Pete Davidson

Do you know Pete Davidson outside of his dating history? If not, we’ve got you covered! Pete Davidson was born on November 16, 1993. It's a known fact that the 29-year-old's father, Scott Matthew Davidson, was a firefighter in New York who passed away at the World Trade Center during 9/11. Davidson has a tattoo of the badge number "8418" to honor his late father. The actor’s mother is Amy, and he also has a little sister named Casey.

Davidson went to St. Joseph's School and attended Tottenville High School in New York City. At around 18 years of age, Davidson got diagnosed with Crohn's disease, which he still receives intravenous treatment for. It's said that the actor uses medical marijuana as a pain reliever for this reason. Davidson also enrolled at a college based in Brooklyn but dropped out not too long afterward.

Davidson's earliest appearance onscreen was on MTV's Failosophy back in 2013, when he was only 20 years old. That same year, Davidson was featured in the movie TubbyMan, as well as several TV shows, including Guy Code, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Adam Devine's House Party. He also starred in Nick Cannon Presents: Wild 'N Out and did stand up in Jimmy Kimmel Live. One year later, he joined Saturday Night Live as one of the main members of the show.

Pete Davidson's Mental Health and Addiction

Even though Davidson has had a pretty successful career so far, the comedian still struggles with his mental health. The star actually struggled with depression and anxiety for years. In 2017, he opened up about being diagnosed with borderline personality disorder and said that he had been getting help for substance abuse. At the time, Davidson said he was sober for the first time in 8 years – only to check back into rehab in 2019.

“I have to get my meds re-adjusted all the time,” he said in an interview with Charlamagne Tha God. “I have in between bipolar and borderline and PTSD and sh*t from my childhood, so I have to go and get re-adjusted every once in a while. I don’t think going to rehab is that big of a deal. I think it’s like a really strong, powerful thing.”

It's no secret that Davidson has gone through plenty of heartbreak as well. Let's go over some of them.

Cazzie David

Two years after joining SNL, Pete allegedly met his ex-girlfriend Cazzie through her dad, Larry David, who hosted an episode of SNL on February 6, 2016. The pair quickly fell in love, with Davidson even getting a tattoo of Cazzie on his arm, and another one of her name on his finger. Their romance came to an end in 2018 when he met – you know who – Ariana Grande.

Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande and Pete got together on May 2018, shortly after her appearance on SNL. By October, they separated – even though they had gotten engaged. The reason? In an interview with Charlamagne Tha God, Pete admitted that he knew their relationship was done when Ariana found out about Mac Miller's death. "All I do know is that she really loved the s**t out of him, and she wasn't putting on a show or anything," he says.

Kate Beckinsale

After Pete ended it with Ariana, he went on to date Underworld actress Kate Beckinsale in 2019. Unsurprisingly, their relationship was short-lived as well.

Margaret Qualley

Just months after showing PDA with Beckinsale at a Ranger's game, Davidson began dating actress Margaret Qualley, the daughter of Andie MacDowell. They only lasted a total of two months.

Kaia Gerber

In 2020, Davidson started hooking up with model Kaia Gerber just after separating from Qualley. However, they broke up after Davidson put himself in rehab that same year.

Phoebe Dynevor

English actress Phoebe Dynevor had a fling with Davidson from April to August – a total of five months. Apparently, their split was due to the long distance between them. Dynevor is an actress from the UK, while Davidson still resides in NYC.

Kim Kardashian

You probably know about this one! Kim Kardashian and Davidson started dating in November 2021, just after they shared a kiss on SNL. After nine months, Pete and Kardashian finally called it quits on August 2022.

Emily Ratajkowski

Two months after Kardashian, Davidson was spotted on a date with model Emily Ratajkowski. According to Elle, Ratajkowski hints that she isn’t exclusively dating Davidson, so it’s probably safe to say that we shouldn’t be expecting anything serious from this couple.

What’s the Appeal?

It’s difficult to pinpoint exactly what attracts so many women to Davidson, but many believe it’s because he’s tall and funny, so he keeps the ladies interested! It’s actually a proven fact that women are more attracted to men who humor them. Kardashian attributes Pete’s magnetism to his personality. “I feel like people, they have this, like, idea of him that he dates all these hot girls — and he does. But he’s just the sweetest, most thoughtful person," she said. "Pete has the best heart." So while Davidson isn’t exactly in the same league as Henry Cavill, he charms women in other ways: through laughter, entertainment, and charisma.
