The Most Beautiful Celebrity Wedding Dresses Of The Past Decade

I’m in awe of how beautiful both of their dresses were! Lily's sleek white dress and matching cape had all the fairytale vibes that fit their intimate woodland wedding.

Jasmine Tookes' wedding was an extraordinarily elegant and extravagant affair at a beautiful Catholic church in Quito, Ecuador. Her dress, designed by Zuhair Murad, featured a dramatic train and an even longer veil.

It made me look back on some of the most beautiful celebrity wedding dresses over the past decade. Below I listed my favorite wedding dresses between 2011 and 2021 – in chronological order because I love all of these dresses so much that I don’t want to rank them!

Kate Middleton

Kate Middleton’s 2011 wedding dress was designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. The long sleeves and lace details on the dress make it both timeless and elegant, and the A-line skirt makes it fit for a princess. This dress stands out to me because it’s simple yet elegant, and it’s so beautiful yet so simple, proving that the average bride can easily emulate this look. 10 years after she walked down the aisle, we’re still as obsessed with this dress as the day she wore it, and it was just a preview of her many iconic looks to come.

Kate Moss

Kate Moss channeled her inner Daisy Buchanan in her vintage-inspired John Galliano dress at her 2011 wedding to Jamie Hince. The dress looks like it came straight out of a Fitzgerald novel, which she accessorized with a cap-style veil reminiscent of the 1920s. What makes the dress unique is the beading and embroidery at the bottom of the skirt, adding to the gown’s flapper aesthetic.

Nikki Reed

When Twilight star Nikki Reed married The Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder (the vampire crossover I didn’t know I needed) in 2015, she wore a custom Claire Pettibone gown made of chantilly lace with 3/4-length sleeves. I’m usually not a fan of backless dresses, but I love that this dress is backless because it adds a hint of modernity to this traditional frock. Though she didn’t wear a veil, the lace train in the back is to die for.

Ciara

Singer Ciara’s 2016 wedding to Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson took place in a castle, so it makes sense that she wore a dress fit for a princess. Ciara wore a stunning gown by Peter Dundas of Cavalli Couture made of chantilly lace and tulle. The long-sleeved gown featured gorgeous bell sleeves and a lace-up bodice. To add a personal touch, Ciara requested for her and Russell’s initials to be monogrammed at the end of her train.

Miranda Kerr

For former Victoria’s Secret Angel Miranda Kerr’s 2017 wedding to Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel, she took inspiration from the incomparable Grace Kelly. Designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri of Dior, the dress is made of satin and features a high neckline, floral lace detail, and a stunning ballgown skirt. The dress is the epitome of timelessness with a modern twist, which is sure to make Grace Kelly proud.

Emmy Rossum

Shameless actress Emmy Rossum wore a stunning vintage-inspired gown by Carolina Herrera to her 2017 wedding to director Sam Esmail. The off-the-shoulder gown featured beautiful beaded and lace detail, and her cathedral length veil made the look even more classic and elegant. Though this dress isn’t featured in many “best wedding dresses” lists, it’s as timeless and beautiful as wedding dresses get.

Karlie Kloss

Karlie Kloss is a fashion icon and one of the most beautiful supermodels in the world, so it only made sense that she wore a stunning gown at her 2018 wedding to Josh Kushner. Designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri of Dior, it was made of delicate lace and featured long sleeves, a long veil, and a classic A-line skirt. The dress was reminiscent of a classic fairytale, which is fitting for one of the most beloved and beautiful models in the fashion industry.

Priyanka Chopra

Actress Priyanka Chopra wore several stunning dresses to various events for her 2018 wedding to Nick Jonas, but she saved the best for walking down the aisle. The custom Ralph Lauren gown was made of elegant lace and 2,390,000 mother of pearl sequins and featured stunning long sleeves and a 75-foot veil. The dress featured many personal details, including lace from her mother-in-law’s wedding dress, and the names of her parents and husband were embroidered into the dress alongside some of their favorite phrases.

But because one is just not enough, Priyanka also wore an Indian-style wedding gown, known as a lehenga, during their wedding. Designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee said it took 110 embroiderers a total of 3,720 hours to create the piece.

Sophie Turner

Actress Sophie Turner famously married Joe Jonas in a small ceremony in Las Vegas in May 2019, but she also wore a stunning gown by Nicolas Ghesquire for Louis Vuitton to their formal ceremony at a French Chateau two months later. The ballgown was made of silk, lace, and tulle and featured classic long sleeves and a stunning neckline. Sophie is known for taking classic styles and adding her own modern twist, making this the perfect dress for the Queen in the North.

Hailey Bieber

At their 2019 South Carolina ceremony, model Hailey Baldwin married singer Justin Bieber in a stunning gown designed by Virgil Abloh for Off-White. The gown captures much of Hailey’s personality with traditional floral lace fabric and long sleeves, but also features intricate beading and an off-the-shoulder neckline, and “wedding dress” embroidered in the back. The dress also features a beautiful train, and her veil has “‘til death do us part” embroidered at the end.

Closing Thoughts

Weddings are magical, and the dresses are often the most magical aspect. It’s fun to look at celebrity dresses and dream of our own wedding dresses, so why not take inspiration from some of the best?
