Many major corporations have jumped on the train of progressive intersectional politics to prove that they are in fact "allies" to the so-called marginalized groups in society. Companies like Oreos, Bud Light, and Ben & Jerry's have declared their support for Black Lives Matter or LGBT activists. Disney is a worldwide media company that has long been known for creating children's content in the form of movies, TV shows, theme parks, toys, and much more. It's also well known for pushing a progressive message that supports the trans agenda and other Marxist ideologies. The media behemoth is now locked in a legal battle with the state of Florida. On a Fox News interview, 2024 Presidential candidate Nikki Haley encouraged Disney to leave Florida behind and instead come to her home state of South Carolina. But it wasn't accepted well by many people on the right.

Nikki Haley Slammed for Inviting Disney to Move to South Carolina Amidst Lawsuit Against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis

Disney filed a lawsuit in US District Court for the Northern District of Florida, alleging that Governor Ron DeSantis orchestrated "punishment for Disney's protected speech" and "now threatens Disney’s business operations, jeopardizes its economic future in the region, and violates its constitutional rights." DeSantis created the Central Florida Tourism Oversight Board, which voted to nullify some deals that the last Disney board made before the new board took over.

In the lawsuit, Disney claims that Florida is simply making the process difficult for the company because of different politics. "The Company is left with no choice but to file this lawsuit to protect its cast members, guests, and local development partners from a relentless campaign to weaponize government power against Disney in retaliation for expressing a political viewpoint unpopular with certain State officials," it reads.

But DeSantis Communications Director Taryn Fenske responded in a statement, “We are unaware of any legal right that a company has to operate its own government or maintain special privileges not held by other businesses in the state.”

In a Fox News interview, Nikki Haley, former governor of South Carolina and 2024 Presidential candidate, addressed the clash between Disney and the state of Florida. The news anchor asked for Haley's take on the situation.

"As governor, I took a double-digit unemployment state and I turned it into an economic powerhouse," she replied. "Businesses were my partners because if you take care of your businesses you take care of your economy, your economy takes care of the people and everyone wins. South Carolina was a very anti-woke state and still is."

Disney has been accused of aiding in the grooming of children by supporting and even creating content that encourages gender ideology, drag, and homosexuality. Many conservative parents have declared that they have cancelled their Disney+ subscription due to the content that promotes the progressive agenda, such as "anti-white propaganda" on the show The Proud Family. The right has been cheering on DeSantis' strong response to Disney and its position in the state of Florida. However, Haley gave a very different type of response to the media company.

"If Disney would like to move their hundreds of thousands of jobs to South Carolina and bring the billions of dollars with them, I'll be happy to meet them in South Carolina and introduce them to the governor and legislators that would welcome it," Haley said.

Many users replied to the clip in disappointment, calling Haley a sellout and "pro-crony capitalist" who cares about one thing and one thing only, even if it's at the expense of values: money.

"Nope. The correct response would have been: 'Disney has done everything possible to undermine the will of the people and the rights of parents in Florida. DeSantis was right to push back on them, and I will continue to root him on. As president I would likewise take a strong stand against corporate intimidation,'" Allie Beth Stuckey, conservative commentator, tweeted.

"Still thinking about this. She’s essentially saying, 'If Disney wants to try to oppose a law that protects kindergarteners from learning about sex switching in the state of South Carolina like it did in FL, be my guest!' Very much not what time it is," Allie wrote in a follow-up tweet.

Many others chimed in, agreeing with Allie's sentiment and even predicting that this will have a terrible effect on her upcoming campaign. Although conservatives value the free market and capitalist companies, there is always a line in the sand—and that line usually involves protecting children against the predatory ideologies of the left.
