John Lennon's Murderer May Have Been Brainwashed By The CIA, Author Claims

On December 8, 1980, former Beatles member John Lennon was shot dead by an "angry and jealous" man named Mark David Chapman, sending shockwaves through rock fans all over the world. 43 years later, a theory by a TV producer and British author – David Whelan – has emerged, alleging that Chapman may not have been the singer's killer after all. Whelan's book Gimme Some Truth – The Assassination of John Lennon and upcoming documentary will be released later this year. The author, who has spent years investigating Lennon's tragic death, believes there was a second gunman, and that Chapman was brainwashed by the CIA to be framed. The author spoke to the lead detective of the case as well as the surgeon who attempted to save Lennon's life, Dr. David Halleran, and two other nurses who were present at the scene, Barbara Kammerer and Dea Sato. The "official narrative" states Lennon was shot from behind, but Whelan's interviews with the surgeon and nurses paint a different story, indicating that the singer was actually shot by a person positioned in front of him. Whelan discovered that Chapman was involved with Christian preachers who had ties to former president Richard Nixon and psychiatrists who reportedly worked with military intelligence. It's apparently on record that a psychiatrist trained in hypnosis with ties to the CIA's MK-Ultra projec t visited Chapman in his prison cell within one month of his arrest. Former CIA consultant Milton Kline, a psychologist and expert, once admitted that he could "create a patsy in three months" but that it would take several months longer to brainwash someone into becoming an assassin. Whelan suggests Chapman was groomed and mind-controlled to be the fall guy so that Lennon could be taken out by an organized assassination. Knowing the CIA's strange history with MK-Ultra , this theory sounds possible, but Whelan doesn't have a clear answer as to why the intelligence agency would want to end the musician's life. "The motive isn’t totally clear, and it doesn’t necessarily have to be a CIA/Deep State operation. There are links between fundamentalist Christians and these hypnotist doctors and Nixon as well," Whelan said. "Nixon and Lennon were arch enemies, and Nixon was close to [Ronald] Reagan,” the president-elect at the time. He continued, "Lennon was just coming out of his shell and getting back to political activity, and Reagan was coming into office." Is it possible the deep state was truly involved in Lennon's murder?
