Cardi B and millions of Americans are fuming right now, and rightly so.

NYC Mayor Eric Adams is calling for budget cuts that will affect the police, libraries, schools, firefighters, and sanitation. The budget proposes reductions totaling billions of dollars – including hundreds of millions from schools and $1.1 billion from the NYPD alone. The mayor says the migrant crisis is to blame.

Millions of dollars are getting slashed, which will result in more Americans struggling while the government continues to fund overseas wars. It makes zero sense; even Cardi B has become a voice of reason. This weekend, she went off on a profanity-laced rant after hearing about the budget cuts. "I'm an angry *ss b*tch and I'm about to go off right now..." the New York-based rapper said, "If something happens to me it's because I'm speaking the truth."

She discusses the $120 million budget cut and proclaims that she is no longer endorsing presidents. "Joe Biden's talking about like, 'Yeah, we could fund two wars,'" she continued, "Motherf*ckers talkin' about 'We don't got it [money], but we got it. We're the greatest nation.' No, the f*ck we're not. We're really going through some sh*t right now."

Cardi added that she's blessed but concerned about her family members and close friends. "They're living in the hood," the 31-year-old added. She also cited her worries over the city's poor sanitation, adding that New York is "dirty" and it's "going to get even dirtier with the f*cking budget cut." This summer, it was reported that one in five New Yorkers could be drinking lead-contaminated water.

Even the city's government has announced that air pollution causes thousands of deaths each year and thousands of emergency department visits and hospitalizations for asthma, heart, and lung problems. We have Americans getting sick and homeless people suffering on the streets, but the Biden administration thought it was a good idea to request $105 billion in funding for Israel and Ukraine.

"No, we cannot fund these f*cking wars," Cardi doubled down. The rapper warns that soon, we'll see these cuts in other states, and I fear she's not wrong. Say what you want about Cardi, but she's at least speaking out and using her platform when other celebrities are too afraid to stand up for Americans. In 2020, she spoke out during the pandemic and suggested that celebrities might have gotten paid to say they have the virus, even when they don't have symptoms.

Nevertheless, this "America first" mentality – backed by millions of Americans, including Cardi – exemplifies how much our government needs to prioritize the well-being of its citizens.
