More women than ever are opting in for breast enhancement, injections, lip fillers, and more to alter their face and body. It's almost impossible at this point to see a celebrity or influencer who presents their natural self to the world. Sadly, many women who are getting these procedures done are making themselves unrecognizable. A recent before-and-after picture on Twitter was shared, showing the lengths to which women are wiling to go in order to alter their face and make themselves look "perfect."

Viral Before-And-After Photo Reveals The Common Procedures Women Are Getting Done To Forever Alter Their Face

According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), women account for 92% of cosmetic procedures since 2014. The plastic surgery and cosmetic procedure industries bring in billions each year, and it doesn't seem like the momentum will slow down anytime soon. Everyday women who want to improve their appearance are choosing to get an array of procedures done, as we can see in a viral before-and-after photo shared by The Cosmetic Lane, a "community of beauty achievers" with more than 28,000 followers on Twitter.

"Full Face Rejuvenation with filler," the tweet read. "Areas targeted: Eyes to create fox eye, liquid rhinoplasty, chin contour, cheek contour & lips."

The video shows the woman before her procedures and what her face looks like afterwards. She is unrecognizable. Her eyes now have the same "fox" quality that you've seen on women like Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid. Her lips are much bigger, her chin is perfectly shaped, and she now has contour added to her lips and cheeks.

Twitter user @girlrising quote tweeted the video and wrote, "this is very sad and you can't tell me otherwise." She added in a thread, "society has truly brainwashed you into thinking that changing your entire face to the point where you’re unrecognizable is normal. thank you for keeping the patriarchy alive and making girls think they need to do this!"

Many people replied to her thread wondering why so many women are "buying the same face" and pointing out that "her whole facial features are just trends."

It is indeed sad that so many women are altering their face permanently because they feel like their natural face isn't good enough, and there's no denying that there's a strange trend happening in which women will completely change what they look like and erase all of their own unique qualities in order to look exactly like all the other women on social media or in Hollywood who have had the same exact procedures done.

It really makes you wonder if women like Kate Moss and Brooke Shields would have been successful, widely adored supermodels in today's age without permanently altering their natural faces. These women were beautiful and stunning because they were unique and because they had special features that made them stand out. And today we've arrived at the kind of cookie cutter beauty trend that results in so many women looking exactly the same.

Not only are these women throwing away their natural beauty, but they're also opting in for procedures and surgeries that will very likely have an effect on their health in the longterm. There's no way getting that much surgery and filler done in your face won't have a negative impact on your body (and mind) in the long run.
