What Happens Next The right still has a future with young Americans. But it needs to offer them a future in return. There is a spiritual revival happening. Young people want to believe in love, romance, the future, and God. We want a life worth working toward: a home, a family, healthy children, faith, friendship, and a community where people belong. We want corruption to be fought, not enabled, while we struggle to feed our families. Those aspirations should be natural territory for conservatives. Defending them requires more than nostalgia for a country where they once seemed attainable. If the right wants the next generation to carry the torch, it needs to give them a reason to believe there will be something left to illuminate.
