The Most Memorable Looks From The Brit Awards 2023
On January 12, the 43rd Brit Awards took place in London, gathering some of the biggest names in music and entertainment. Here are some of the most memorable (and confusing) looks from the red carpet.

The 2023 Brit Awards were memorable for a few different reasons, namely because Harry Styles emerged with four awards that night, including British album of the year, British artist of the year, and song of the year. But even for those who didn't watch the award show, the red carpet was one to remember. There were some looks that people couldn't stop talking about for days on social media (ahem, Sam Smith), while others went forgotten, and a few that left many of us with questions.
The Most Memorable Looks from the Brit Awards 2023
Jodie Turner-Smith
This look could have been so good, but there were one too many wraps around her body. Her makeup was gorgeous, though.
Lizzo
Lizzo is known for her, er, memorable looks and while this certainly isn't her worst, it's not her best. The metallic gold cape was a bit much, but at least the colors complemented her skin tone well.
Ellie Goulding
She looks good as a brunette, but this outfit was a disaster. The body-armor top didn't add anything to the outfit and looked out of place more than anything else.
Jessie J
The soulful singer has been refreshingly candid about her past miscarriage and the joy over her current pregnancy. Jessie J looks fantastic in this red color and the cape adds a fun touch. It may not be her best look ever, but it's fun and gives her the chance to happily show off her belly.
Harry Styles
Known for his daring looks, Harry walked onto the red carpet once again with an outfit that made everyone stare. He paired a black blazer with bell-bottom black pants, along with a huge black flower that was tied around his neck. Hey, at least it wasn't a dress.
Shania Twain
Shania chose to wear Saint Laurent on the red carpet and it was a lovely choice. The long-sleeve dress had asymmetrical ruching and a slim, long skirt. She matched it with glamorous loose curls and silver jewelry. Much better than her recent Grammy red carpet look.
Naomi Ackie
The Whitney Houston portrayer wore Proenza Schouler in the form of a yellow gown with a simple tie of fabric down the middle of her back. Her hair was in a high bun and she added a plum lip.
Sam Smith
He's back with another look that's meant to turn heads and start conversations. Where to even begin with this outfit? He has been compared to a balloon animal you might see at the fair, or that scene in The Incredibles when Mr. Incredible gets attacked by those big, black orbs.
Leigh-Anne Pinnock
This had potential. But the neckline was too low and the whole number seemed to be ill-fitting and unflattering for someone as beautiful as Leigh-Anne Pinnock. And the Princess Leia hair was just unnecessary.
