The Most Cringey Dating App Profiles Every Girl Has Come Across

Dating apps have given us the opportunity to find love all across the globe. But just because there are plenty of options, doesn’t mean they’re all quality options.

If you’ve dabbled in the online dating world, then you have probably seen your share of interesting profiles. Some guys try to be funny, some are quirky, and some are just a little too serious. So before you decide on swiping right or left, look for these cringey red flags.

He’s Holding a Fish in Every Picture

For some men, fishing is life. While there’s nothing wrong with enjoying a hobby, some of these guys seem like they’re going to be more committed to the bass they catch than to their relationship.

He’s Obsessed with His Truck or Car

We all know guys who drive an overly lifted truck or someone who has riced out their car. If his profile is all about the make and model of his vehicle, and the vehicle is in his profile pic, he might be too much.

He Makes Sexual Innuendos

For me, there is nothing more cringey than a guy who makes sex jokes right off the bat. This man does not want to make a commitment with you, he simply wants to sleep with you.

He’s a Gym Rat Who’s Obsessed with Himself

Oof. He might have nice muscles, but is that all he cares about? It’s great to stay in shape and be active, but being vain is not a flex.

All He Does Is Smoke Pot and Drink

If he's all about that party life or constantly smoking weed, he’s lacking ambition. The frat boy life doesn’t usually mesh well with a committed relationship.

He’s Too Political

There’s nothing wrong with standing up for your beliefs and fighting for freedom, but if their dating profile is focused on politics, you might want to proceed with caution. If their page is loaded with Ukraine flags, MAGA hashtags, rainbows, or anything that shouts politics, just know they might be an activist.

His Profile Oozes Low Self-Esteem

It’s one thing to be humble, and another to self-deprecate. Your future man needs a good balance of humility and confidence

It’s a Sugar Daddy Profile

We’ve all gotten a weird sugar daddy DM. But there are full profiles of sugar daddies looking for sugar babies. This profile will look something like an older man offering money in return for companionship and affection. No thanks!

He’s Too Serious

I'm all about a man with serious intentions, but I also like to have fun and enjoy life. If his page is too direct and he can't take a joke, he might need to loosen up before going on a date.

Low-Quality or Not Enough Pictures

I’m not looking for a Vogue photoshoot, but at least give me a picture or two where I can see what you look like. On the flip side, an overly filtered photo is also a no-go, but that’s typically an issue that women have when posting pictures. Give me the real you, and show me some personality in the photos.

He’s Just Too Dramatic

Every now and then, you’ll see a man sharing a little too much on his public profile. We like our men masculine, not super emotional and dramatic. Open up to me about your life on the date, but don’t overshare your feelings on your online profile.

Closing Thoughts

Who’s to say what the perfect online dating profile really is? Maybe this is why men think women are so complicated, but it seems simple to us. Nothing too crazy, just enough to be intentional, and try to be playful and funny. Is that too much to ask?
