The 65th Annual Grammy Awards took place in Los Angeles as always, gathering some of the biggest stars and musicians. Harry Styles, Sam Smith, Lizzo, Stevie Wonder, and more took to the stage to perform popular hits for the crowd. The record of the year went to Harry Styles for "As It Was," resulting in shock and disappointment for many fans who expected Beyoncé to take home the award for "Break My Soul." Samara Joy won best new artist, Adele won best pop solo performance, and Sam Smith and Kim Petras won best pop duo/group performance. Despite the upsets and controversial performances (particularly Sam Smith's Satanic imagery), there were some memorable outfits that caught our attention, for better or worse.

Worst-Dressed Celebrities at The 2023 Grammys

Shania Twain

The country singer showed up to the red carpet looking a little silly. Shania Twain, 57, wore a Dalmation-like polka-dotted getup with matching bell-bottom pants, blazer, and top hat. She also wore a bright red wig with matching lipstick. It may have worked for Halloween, but it didn't quite land for the Grammys.

Blac Chyna

In a confusing turn of events, Blac Chyna wore an all-black ensemble complete with a head covering and large feathers framing her shoulders and head. It looked like a Black Swan cosplay gone wrong. She also wore heavy black eye makeup with a nude lip.

Lizzo

Lizzo wore a couple different outfits last night and none of them were particularly great. One was a shiny silver mini-dress with puffed sleeves and and heels made of the same color. It was reminiscent of a formal spacesuit gone wrong. Her red carpet look was a head-to-toe orange-red ensemble with a cape that draped over her head. Under it was a bright orange two-piece with silver straps.

Harry Styles

Where to even begin with Harry? He wore a multi-colored jumpsuit with a square neckline that dropped all the way to his stomach. He paired it with a pair of white shoes, a cross necklace, and a little facial hair. Even some of his fans couldn't wrap their heads around his getup.

Beyoncé

Beyoncé is often known for her great sense of fashion, but this Grammys dress left many scratching their heads and wondering what she was thinking. The gown was strapless with a tan satin fabric around her chest, followed by a silver, purplish color in the waist and skirt, with a ruffled thigh-high slit. She also wore black elbow-high gloves. It just didn't work.

Doja Cat

Doja Cat was going for a daring look with a custom vinyl Versace dress as well as a second custom leather piece by Knwls. The black dress looked like a shiny patent leather material and it was one-shouldered with an unflattering mermaid skirt. She wore matching black gloves that traveled all the way to her upper arm. Even the second leather dress didn't come together either.

Maren Morris

Country singer Maren Morris showed up in a confusing dress with a plunging neckline that went all the way down to below her belly button. The color was a gray-black shade and the dress was sheer, showing black underwear underneath. It was unflattering all around.

Sam Smith

Sam arrived in an outfit that referenced his "Unholy" performance, which was called Satanic by many viewers, so it's not surprising that he wore a blood-red robe with a dramatic neckline, matching gloves, and a top hat with sheer material that covered his eyes. Not pleasant.

Best-Dressed Celebrities at The 2023 Grammys

Adele

The pop singer's dramatic neckline was unforgettable and it was paired with a cinched waist and long beautiful curls cascading down her shoulders. The deep wine shade went perfectly with her skin tone—and even her nails. Definitely the best-dressed of the night.

Coco Jones

Singer and actress Coco Jones stunned in a gold dress with a halter V-neck neckline, cinched waist, and thigh-high slit. Her hair was parted in the middle and slicked back into straight locks. The dangly sequined earrings added another glamorous touch to the ensemble.

Anitta

Brazilian singer Anitta wore a strapless black gown with intricate sheer paneling, ruffle details, and a gorgeous train. Her hair was side-parted and straightened and she rocked a warm smoky eye with a brown lip.

Cardi B

Cardi B's royal blue ensemble was unexpected but stunning. The fabric of the dress lifted into a sheer structure that covered a portion of her face. A cutout around her waist showed a little skin and her hair was slicked back into a low ponytail. A different look than what we're used to but still pretty.

Megan Fox

Megan Fox had a couple outfit changes for the Grammys, but her best dress was a strapless red gown that had a corset waist and a cinched knot of fabric at her hips. She completed the classic Hollywood look with side-parted hair and loose curls.

Taylor Swift

It's not easy to pull off a two-piece on the red carpet, but Taylor Swift manages to make it look beautiful in a midnight blue, sequined ensemble. She wore a mockneck, long-sleeved top and simple skirt with her midriff showing, along with large earrings and her hair in a simple bun. She added a classic red lip, as always.
