The theme honored the sharp, expressive world of "black tailoring." Interesting on paper, but it translated into a whole lot of pantsuits. To be fair, tailoring can be transformative. At its best, it commands attention without saying a word. But the keyword here is best, and not everyone came dressed for distinction.
