Sweet And Sexy Makeup Looks!!
Whether you’re single or in a relationship, Valentine’s Day is the perfect time for some self-care.

So regardless of you celebrating Valentine’s Day with your man, or Galentine’s Day with your girlf friends, now is the perfect time to prepare an adorable (because who doesn’t want to be adored?) or sexy look for February 14th!
Skincare is #1
For both looks, cute or sultry, starting with great skin is paramount! Great skin starts with great skincare, so right now is the perfect time to make sure you’re giving your skin some extra TLC, whether that means finding perfect products, actually sticking to your regimen, or throwing in some extra self-care masquing sessions!
This will make the foundation/complexion part of any makeup plan so much easier, and the results so much more stunning! If you have a facialist, see him or her, and if not, treat yo’self! I’d also schedule an appointment with a brow specialist to make sure that the windows to your soul have clean & beautiful framing! Assuming our skin’s tip-top, brows shaped, and any other unwanted hair is removed, we’re ready to dive into a couple of makeup look options!
I always tell my makeup students (in person, and my online course) that one of the best guidelines I have is to choose one feature to play up and to go neutral or natural on the rest. While it could be fun to highlight the cheeks with a bright blush, my hope for you is that you’re blushing naturally from whatever activities you plan for V-day, so I want to share some products to help with the perfect eye look or a bold & kissable pout!
Preparing the Lips
To prepare lips, I love Satin Lips by Mary Kay, which is a two-step process of exfoliation and moisturizer for your lips - taking the dead skin off, and leaving the baby skin exposed and ready to absorb nutrients and moisture with the balm! This perfectly prepares your lips for a kissable pout, which also means you’re prepared to put on a bright lipstick with no worries!
Bold Lips And A Neutral Eye
IF You're Feeling Sexy
If you’re feeling randy, how about a red? One of my favorite red lipsticks is Red Stiletto by Lancome! It’s a great color that looks good on everyone - at least everyone I’ve ever put it on, as it’s a standard in my makeup kit!
If You'd Prefer To Be Cute!
If “cute’s” more your cup of tea, I recommend Schiap by NARS - a bright and fun pink!
As mentioned, I recommend choosing either eye or lip to make bold, but that doesn’t mean you can’t do a smokey eye with a bright lip - it’s just best to stick with neutral colors, versus a color-infused smokey. If you’d like to do a smokey eye with the red lip, I’d recommend going with browns for your eye look. A great palette for that is the Viseart Theory Palette in Cashmere. If you prefer black and greys (which I think go best with the pink lip), I’d recommend the Covergirl Full Spectrum So Saturated Palette in Gravity!
Romantic And Bold Eyes With A Nude Lip
For a more romantic and bold eye, I’d try a look with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette, paired with a nude lipstick... A favorite of mine is Truffle Tease from Maybelline’s “The Buffs” collection! Of course, any of the other recommended smokey eye looks work with a nude lip, too, so feel free to express yourself and whatever makes you feel sexy or cute!

I hope that this Valentine’s Day you’re able to show yourself some love, and spread some love with others, too... And you may as well look great doing it!
