The GOAT of gymnastics, Simone Biles, is returning to the Tokyo Olympics.
U.S. gymnast Simone Biles will be returning to the Olympic floor to compete in the balance beam final on Tuesday, after stepping away last week during the team final for mental health reasons, including a case of the twisties. Team USA took silver in the team final event.
USA Gymnastics confirmed that Biles will compete again in a statement on Twitter: “We are so excited to confirm that you will see two U.S. athletes in the balance beam final tomorrow – Suni Lee AND Simone Biles!! Can’t wait to watch you both!”
Suni Lee took the gold medal last week in the all-around gymnastics competition. Other women's gymnastics medals include MyKayla Skinner's silver medal for the vault and Jade Carey's gold medal for the floor exercise. USA has 64 medals in total so far.
