Rihanna proves again that she and A$AP Rocky are couple goals.

The iconic duo has welcomed their sons RZA and Riot since 2020 – and it seems they have plans for a bigger family! When speaking to Mel Ottenberg with Interview Magazine, the "Diamonds" singer opened up about her man and being a new mom.

She praised A$AP Rocky and admitted he had great taste when asked about the earrings he gifted her. "Isn’t he the best? I be feeling bummy as sh*t next to this man. I feel like, goddamn, I look like his assistant," she said.

The singer said she let God lead her and A$AP to have a family. "Covid sped up our relationship, which I felt like God knew we needed because we were going to start a family. And had it not been for Covid, we would’ve taken a lot more time to get comfortable with each other, to even know that we were ready."

"I mean, we didn’t even really talk about it. There was no denying it. It was the best thing that ever happened to us. It just happened," she said.

Rihanna continued, "I let God lead and just let go. Because in previous relationships, I tried and tried and tried my best, and you still feel like it’s not enough. So when someone sees you completely, and believes in you, and thinks you’re worthy of being the mother of their kids, it’s a great feeling. I felt the same about him. I knew he would be a great dad."

"How many more kids do you want?" Ottenberg asked.

"As many as God wants me to have," said the multi-Grammy Award winner. "I don’t know what God wants, but I would go for more than two. I would try for my girl. But of course, if it’s another boy, it’s another boy."

Despite her success, Rihanna still has fears. "I’m actually afraid of sh*t. The well-being of your kids, you worry about that constantly," she told Ottenberg. "Nobody warns you that having kids means you’re going to worry every second of your life."

This is not the first time the singer has praised motherhood. Last year, she described becoming a mom as "legendary." When asked about her birth, she said that "it was beautiful." Rihanna's honesty and how she glows when she speaks about being a mother is refreshing, especially when the media constantly pushes the negative aspects of motherhood. Luckily, many people are finally acknowledging the beauty of creating a family.

"Essentially, from one person I became two," she recalled in 2023. "You walk into the hospital as a couple and leave as a family of three. It’s nuts."
