Raquel Lee Sues Disney, Alleging The Company Failed To Protect Her From Sexual Abuse At 14
Former child actress Raquel Lee is suing Disney, alleging that she was repeatedly sexually assaulted by an employee at 14 while filming The Poof Point. Years before filing the lawsuit, she reached a confidential settlement with Mark Curry, the actor who played her father in the movie.

The adults on the Disney set allegedly knew something was wrong with Raquel Lee. They watched the previously energetic 14-year-old actress become exhausted, intoxicated, physically ill, and unable to remember her lines while filming the 2001 Disney Channel movie The Poof Point. According to a new lawsuit, they also witnessed a middle-aged male employee sexually harass and touch her on set. Yet Lee says no one stepped in to protect her. Instead, Disney executives allegedly blamed the child for her deteriorating performance and canceled her next role.
