Are beauty trends getting out of hand? If you thought buccal fat removal was weird, wait until you see what people are getting tattooed on their faces.

A tattoo artist who goes by Daisy (@daisylovesick) shared videos of her happy clients after she gave them permanent rainbow freckles. Daisy has since kept her videos off her profile, but one person (@daislovesickbn) re-uploaded them on the platform.

One of the viral videos Daisy originally posted was of a happy customer who had just gotten the rainbow freckles. Blue, red, pink, and orange dots were tattooed across her cheeks – but people are not pleased with the results. A TikToker wrote, "Is this permanent? I feel bad for her."

"Is this legal" a woman named Nadia asked.

Daisy also previously shared a clip of a girl with tattooed pink freckles and hearts on her face. "Won't this look like acne when it heals?" a viewer asked.

But Daisy didn't just stop at the freckles. She also tattooed stubbles on one of her clients she called "Beans." Oh, Beans. I sincerely hope you like your little mustache that you'll have forever.

Others stated how the rainbow freckles "look like an infection."

This saga doesn't stop at the cosmetic tattoos. A woman alleges that an artist from the same studio – Lovesick Tattoo Studio – charged a customer $1,400 USD for a bad snake tattoo. Things aren't looking too good for the Australian-based shop at this moment.

What To Do Instead of Getting Freckle Tattoos

I hoped to attract some women seeking to get freckles tattooed on their faces with this article. If this is you, keep reading.

Dermatologists have warned against the tattoo trend. If you decide to opt for it, just know the only way you can get it removed is through laser. “However, tattooed freckles may not be easily reversible if you don’t like them and may cause scarring,” dermatologist Lesley Loss shares on New Beauty. “Filters on social media seem to be contributing to this trend, however, freckle tattoos are unlikely to look like the filter on a person’s actual skin.”

Don't fret – not getting tattoos doesn't mean you can't enjoy the freckled look. TikTok and YouTube have great tutorials on creating freckles that appear natural, and they're not permanent! Sure, it's a bit more tedious and may take practice, but at least you're not stuck with them forever. And who knows what tattooed freckles will look like when you age?

Let's say you don't want to use makeup. That's fine! There's another option: henna.

If there's not a place that does henna, you can easily order a kit off Amazon and do it at home. They last anywhere from one to three weeks, and the results look great. Just make sure you get organic henna instead of the ones with sketchy ingredients!
