Numerous women on TikTok have reported getting attacked while walking around New York City. According to the influencers, many of them were punched in the face in the Big Apple while looking down at their phones. However, one woman said she remained vigilant when out in public but was attacked anyway.

A victim named Halley (@halleykate) said in her viral TikTok video that she was "literally just walking, and a man came up and punched me in the face. Oh my god, it hurts so bad, I can't even talk." Halley adds that she fell to the ground when it happened.

According to The New York Post, the man who allegedly sucker-punched Halley was Skiboky Stora, 40, of East New York. Stora is a "perennial down-ballot political candidate who ran for mayor, governor and City Council in the past three years."

Court documents show that the suspect is set to appear in court in Manhattan on April 3, 2024.

@ImMeme0 on X (formerly Twitter) shared a video compilation of Stora randomly coming up to people to seemingly harass them. The last clip shows a distressed woman complaining about Stora recording her. "According to a NYPD reports Stora was previously arrested for similar attacks, only to be released back onto our streets. This incident will be his third arrest in the past 6 months," the account revealed.

They continued, "In the first video, you can hear him calling a woman a 'b*tch' because he was bothered that she was using her phone and not paying attention to him. He also approached other women, using derogatory language and complaining about their clothes and hairstyle. In the last video, you can see a woman actually slapping him because he followed her onto the train after she had previously complained to a cop about him harassing her."

"In his numerous TikTok videos, he rants about women, white men and when he doesn’t get his way he calls people racist regardless of their skin color," they added. "Also, there are many videos of him harassing police officers, MTA workers, and even postal workers."

Do the Women Have the Same Attacker?

Halley believes that the stories of the women getting punched in NYC were unrelated.

“From listening to a lot of those girl’s videos it didn’t really sound like it was the same person. I think it might just be a somewhat common thing that happens in big cities,” she said, adding she's now “more aware of her surroundings.”
