Nara Smith's New Body Butter Collab With Primally Pure Actually Has Ingredients I Can Pronounce
If Nara Smith is collaborating on any beauty product, you know it's gonna be good.

I love body butters. Sol de Janeiro's Delícia Drench lives on my nightstand, and I've gone through countless tubs of Tree Hut's whipped shea formulas. Lotions and body butters are my non-negotiables. I need to feel like a glazed donut in the summer and save my ashy elbows from embarrassment in the winter. But as much as I love the popular body butters, I've started paying closer attention to what's actually in them, and I'm getting a little tired of ingredient lists with perfumes and other strong chemicals. Phenoxyethanol, dimethicone, and synthetic fragrance blends trigger my headaches; I'm genuinely over it.
So when I heard Nara Smith was partnering with Primally Pure on a body butter, my ears perked up. The Nara Smith and Primally Pure? Tell me more.
The TikTok-famous mom of three has built her entire brand around making things from scratch, whether that's homemade Pop-Tarts for her kids or fresh pasta that would make an Italian nonna weep. She's also made numerous videos on her eczema and how she's shifted her diet and skincare to soothe it. It makes sense, then, that she'd partner with a brand whose philosophy mirrors her own, such as a focus on fewer ingredients.
Primally Pure's new Blue Tansy Body Butter launches today, February 24th. The formula relies on tallow from grass-fed cows, which sounds strange until you learn it's been used as a skin remedy for centuries because it closely mimics the fatty acid profile of human skin. There's also organic mango butter, shea butter, coconut oil, and olive oil rounding things out, plus blue tansy essential oil for that striking color and calming properties.
"Primally Pure's new Blue Tansy Body Butter feels like comfort in a jar," Smith said of the collaboration. "The rich texture melts into skin and deeply moisturizes. It's quickly become my go-to during the transition seasons, when my skin needs comfort more than anything. I'm a fan of Primally Pure because we share the same mindset: start with real, nourishing ingredients and be thoughtful about what goes in."
The campaign imagery reflects that same sense of quiet luxury, shot by filmmaker RJ Bruni, who has worked with cultural figures like Pamela Anderson, with stills captured by photographer Jack Bool. Everything about the campaign is beautiful and intentional.
Blue tansy itself is worth knowing about if you haven't encountered it before. The small yellow flower belongs to the chamomile family and produces oil high in chamazulene, a naturally occurring compound responsible for its vivid blue color. It's known for reducing inflammation and soothing irritated skin, which makes it particularly appealing for anyone dealing with redness or sensitivity.
The body butter comes in two sizes: a 2.8oz jar for $32 or a 5.4oz jar for $54. Not outrageous for a product in the clean beauty space. The scent combines floral blue tansy with warm sandalwood grounding rather than overwhelming.
Whether this body butter lives up to the hype remains to be seen, but at least I can read every ingredient on the label without consulting Google.
