Men Experience Four Seasons A Year. Women Experience Them All Every Month.
A woman’s life is not meant to be lived in rigid patterns or identical days. We were not designed for sameness, repetition, or consistency.

We may seem unpredictable and reactive, but here’s the truth: we’re designed for seasons. Let's discuss.
Our energy, emotions, and focus ebb and flow like the moon, the tides, and the changing earth. The secret to feeling our best—body, mind, and spirit—is to embrace these rhythms rather than resist them. We experience seasons daily, weekly, and yearly. When we embrace them, we experience renewal, rest, productivity, and passion to the fullest.
After 27 years of a happy marriage while raising fifteen children, I’ve learned that peace and productivity come when we stop trying to fit into the world’s schedule and start flowing with the one God wrote into creation, and into our bodies.
Understanding the Feminine Seasons of Life
There are seasons for everything: childbearing, nurturing, guiding, letting go, and rediscovering yourself again.
When my children were little, my life was centered on constant care—feeding, cleaning, teaching, comforting. Now that many of them are grown, my rhythm has softened. I have space for reflection, creative work, and mentoring younger mothers.
Each season carries its own beauty and its own kind of work. The key is not to mourn the changing seasons but to bless them. The same way winter prepares the soil for spring, the quieter years prepare your heart for the next adventure.

Seasons of the Year
Our physical environment deeply affects our spirit. In spring, we plant and dream. Summer calls us outdoors—to gather, to grow, to bask in warmth and light. Autumn invites reflection, harvest, and gratitude. Winter whispers: rest.
Try aligning your lifestyle with these natural shifts:
In spring, focus on creativity and renewal.
In summer, spend time in the garden, under the sun, with people you love.
In autumn, declutter, simplify, and prepare your home and soul.
In winter, rest, read, and journal.
When we live seasonally, we find that nature itself teaches us balance.

Daily Weather and Circadian Rhythm
Even the weather is a teacher. On sunny days, get outside early—drink coffee in the garden, feel the sun on your skin, and let morning light reset your circadian rhythm. On gray days, light candles, play peaceful music, and let your home be a refuge of warmth.
Rather than resisting the weather, flow with it. Rainy days invite introspection. Bright days call for movement. God painted the sky differently each morning to remind us: no two days are meant to be the same.

Weekly Rhythms
Every week has its own heartbeat. Some days are for deep work and focus; others for rest and community. Our family thrives when we honor these patterns, setting aside time for homeschooling, creative work, family meals, and Sabbath rest.
Each week, I plan green-zone mornings for creative energy, and slower afternoons for connection and care. Don’t fight your natural flow—organize life around it.

The Monthly Cycle: Four Phases of Energy
God built a rhythm within a woman that mirrors creation itself. Think of each phase of your cycle as a mini-season. The menstrual cycle is not a burden; it’s a map of wisdom.
Week One – Winter – The Grounded Season:
Energy dips. You feel serious, focused, perhaps quiet. Rest more, pray deeply, eat nourishing foods. Reflect and reset your direction.
Week Two – Spring – The Blooming Season:
High energy and delight! You’re radiant, social, full of creativity. Plan big projects and connections here; your body and mind are most alive.
Mid-Month – Summer – The Romantic Season:
Love flows freely—toward your husband, your home, your calling. Be intentional about romance and friendship. Let your heart lead.
Week Three – Early Autumn – The Wise and Creative Season:
This is when I feel most reflective, spiritual, and artistic. It’s a beautiful time for writing, teaching, and nurturing beauty.
Week Four – First Frost – The Peacemaker Season:
Sensitivity rises; you become keenly aware of what’s wrong or out of order. Don’t fight it. Use this clarity to set boundaries, restore peace, and simplify your surroundings.
When you honor these four phases, you’ll notice that you have everything you need to manage your life without burnout.

Daily Rhythms of Energy and Focus
Every day brings waves of creative energy, social energy, and nesting energy. Learn to listen. Do creative work in your high-energy hours. Use your reflective times for journaling or prayer. When you feel drawn to home tasks, turn on peaceful music and make your home lovely. Beauty restores your soul.
Let go of society’s pressure to perform the same every day. You are not a machine; you are a living rhythm, a reflection of God’s design.

Reactive Living: Grace in the Moment
Womanhood is not predictable. Every day brings interruptions: a sick child, a phone call, a sudden need. But reactive living doesn’t have to mean chaos. When you live from a place of peace and faith, your reactions can be full of grace.
The goal is not to control everything—we are not designed to tame the seasons and make every day the same—but to respond with love, discernment, and joy, trusting that each moment is an opportunity to fully become who you were meant to be.

11 Practical Ways to Feel Your Best
Many of my daily practices help me stay grounded in these rhythms:
Drink royal jelly with raw honey each morning for energy and clarity.
Garden, walk, or sip coffee outdoors after sunrise to reset your body’s rhythm.
Keep peaceful music playing in your home.
Read physical books and journal instead of scrolling.
Grow things: plants, ideas, children, relationships.
Avoid artificial foods, products, and influences. Avoid hormone disruptors, and embrace dreams, peace, and babies if you are blessed with fertility and a loving husband!
Work with your hands—produce food and beauty in your own yard.
Surround yourself with beauty and simplicity.
Eat fresh, local, whole foods.
Be intentional with romance and friendship.
End your day with dim lights, calm tea, and early rest.

As women, we must trust that we were made beautifully cyclical; designed for ebb and flow, not relentless constancy. When we reject the world’s demand to be the same every day, we find freedom.
Embrace the divine pattern in your body, your home, and your seasons. Trust that your natural rhythm is better than any productivity plan. When we move with our natural flows instead of against them, we find the balance, beauty, and peace we’ve been craving all along.
