These male celebrities are speculated to have gone under the knife — you be the judge.

The global cosmetic surgery market size in 2020 was a total of $44.5 billion. Today, Instagram is full of pouty lips and wrinkle-free foreheads, and it seems that none of it is going away anytime soon. Besides influencers, celebrities are some of the biggest customers of cosmetic surgery. We typically think of famous females when we talk about celebrities going under the knife. For example, Kim Kardashian with her famous BBL, or Kylie Jenner and her noticeable lip filler. But men get surgery too, though many of them don't really admit it. And based on some of these before-and-afters in this article, we can probably agree that most of them had something done.

Tom Cruise

Let’s be honest — Tom Cruise looks fantastic at 60 years old. If you watched Top Gun: Maverick, you probably agree with me. This man does not age. But experts say that Tom Cruise has had work done in the past. Some famous surgeons speculate he’s "fixed" the areas around his cheek and neck region. While that may be difficult to tell, it’s quite obvious that he’s got dental work done.

Vladimir Putin

Obviously, Vladimir Putin himself has never admitted to getting any kind of cosmetic surgery. However, one UK surgeon named Gerard Lambe says he’s definitely had Botox and fillers.  Apparently, this may not really be a surprise in Russia, where rumors of Putin getting surgery have circulated. Perhaps Putin has just gotten older and gained some weight. We may never know for sure, but there’s clearly a difference in his facial structure.

Zac Efron

Zac Efron, the heartthrob of the mid-2000s. Efron was all the rage when High School Musical first came out years ago. While Efron may still hold the hearts of many girls, there’s no denying how different he looks in the picture below. People think he got fillers due to the difference in his jaw and lips. Doctors on TikTok think he got some dental work done.

Cristiano Ronaldo

Christiano Ronaldo has the largest following on Instagram with a total of 475 million followers. Soccer fans and admirers all agree that Ronaldo is incredibly handsome. But according to one Portuguese magazine, Ronaldo has spent thousands of euros on cosmetic work. Judging by the photos below, it's probably true.

Mickey Rourke

Rourke rose to fame from classic films like Diner, Angel Heart, Homeboy, and more. After the '90s, Rourke decided to take up boxing, in which he was incredibly successful. Unfortunately, his face was injured from the constant beating he took in the boxing rings. Rourke went through several reconstructive surgeries to fix his face, but it seems he continued to go under the knife even years after.

In March of 2022, Rourke appeared on Newsmax to talk about the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Users in the comments couldn’t help but talk about his new look.

Fai Kahdra

You may be wondering who Fai Kahdra is, which is understandable, considering he’s not exactly as big as Tom Cruise or Mickey Rourke. Kahdra is a Palestinian-born model known for being BFFs with the Kardashians. It seems that men who linger around the Kardashian family long enough end up getting some work done. Fans are saying Kai got his nose done, but what do you think?

Paul Wesley

Paul Wesley is known for being a heartthrob in the popular CW series The Vampire Diaries. Some people believe Wesley got his nose done in order to help skyrocket his career. Whatever the case may be, there's no denying that Wesley still looks handsome.

James Charles

James Charles is an influencer who rose to stardom from his makeup tutorials on YouTube. Unlike other celebrities, Charles is not ashamed to share his experiences in getting plastic surgery. “I have lip filler. I have Botox. I’m very open about it,” he says.

Simon Cowell

Simon has had tons of fillers. Unlike the other images on this post, this is a reversal —
Simon has officially taken out his fillers. "There was a stage where I might have gone a bit too far," Cowell said. "I saw a picture of me from 'before' the other day and didn't recognize it as me."

Closing Thoughts

We don’t often talk about the male celebrities who get plastic surgery. We typically notice the before-and-afters of cosmetic surgeries done on famous women, but it should be no surprise that tons of men get work done in Hollywood. I understand why, though: The pressure to look “picture-perfect” as a star is an impossible pressure to avoid.
