Kim Kardashian's Daughter Is Uncomfortable With Paparazzi Being In Her Face, But Kim Laughs It Off
Growing up in the spotlight can't be easy, but it's a whole other story when your parents are Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. Kim and Kanye's oldest daughter, North, is accustomed to cameras being shoved in her face, but she doesn't hesitate to express her discomfort with it.

Kim has long been a pillar of the fashion world, so it's no surprise that she sat front row at the Jean Paul Gaultier fall/winter fashion show (right next to Anna Wintour, to boot). This time, though, Kim brought along her 9-year-old daughter North. They rocked matching sunglasses and a faux nose ring chain. But North wasn't happy about the paparazzi shoving themselves in her face, and she didn't hold back.
Kim Kardashian's Daughter Shows Discomfort Yet Again with Paparazzi in Her Face
While North was sitting in the front row, she held up a sign in a moment that has now gone viral. Naturally, there were multiple paparazzi at the event to document the comings and goings of celebrities, fashion moguls, etc. But North was visibly uncomfortable with the number of cameras in front of her, and she held up a sign that simply said, "Stop."
North wasn't smiling and didn't appear to be joking. In fact, she seemed upset and frustrated at best. Kim's reaction was one of humor. She tweeted the viral moment, saying, "For anyone who knows North knows how funny she finds this video! North I guess had it with the people taking pictures of her so she wrote on her invite STOP and held it up and wanted them to just focus on the show."
Many people replied to Kim's tweet with criticism, asking her why she brought her daughter to the very front row where she knew there would be many cameras that would likely make North feel uncomfortable. Another person replied, "If your daughter doesn’t want her picture taken then don’t take her to sit front rows at a fashion show. Also that’s how your entire family makes money, videos and pictures. May want to tell her that now."
This incident wasn't a one-off thing. North has expressed her discomfort with the paparazzi several times before, even when she was as young as 2 years old. Recently, North was in Paris with Kim and their friends, and as they were walking outside, the paparazzi swarmed.
“Why do you have to wait for us all the time?” North asked the photographers.
"Because you’re so famous. We love you, North!” they replied.
In 2015, when she was only a toddler, North yelled into a crowd of paparazzi, "No pictures!" She had a clear frown on her face as she was being carried by Kim. Another time, photographers were waiting outside her ballet class, and as she walked out, she said, "I said no pictures."
The accumulation of these events has led people to seriously question whether North should be exposed to this kind of paparazzi at such a young age, and whether Kim cares enough to do anything about it. Not surprisingly, most people online are critical of Kim and wonder why she would continuously put her daughter through this kind of uncomfortable exposure when she knows it makes her upset.
