Justin Trudeau Is Trying—And Failing—To Make Vaccine Mandate Protests About Racism

The truck convoy that kicked off as a protest against vaccine mandates has now turned into an international phenomenon that people can't look away from. Canada's prime minster Justin Trudeau, however, is doing his best to ignore what's truly unfolding in front of his eyes.

The Freedom Convoy of truckers has been traveling across Canada for the last several days in order to protest a recent vaccine mandate that requires truckers to be fully vaccinated in order to work. They arrived in Ottawa this past weekend, and now they are blocking the U.S.-Canadian border to make it known that they are not going anywhere anytime soon.

Justin Trudeau Is Trying To Make This about Race

After staying silent on the matter for as long as he could, the Canadian prime minister has finally responded to the Freedom Convoy. While Trudeau and his family are hiding out in an undisclosed location after testing positive for coronavirus, he made the following statement on Monday: "Canadians were shocked and frankly disgusted by the behavior displayed by some people protesting in our nation's capital."

He continued on to say, "We won't give in to those who fly racist flags. We won't cave to those who engage in vandalism or dishonor the memory of our veterans."

Some photos of the Confederate flag from the protests have surfaced, and apparently Trudeau finds this to be enough evidence to accuse the entire protest of being about racism. This sentiment is also being expressed by others online.

Allegedly, some of the truckers asked a homeless shelter to give them food, and Trudeau focused on this singular incident rather than addressing the whole reason why the convoy is even taking place. "We are not intimidated by those who hurl insults and abuse at small business workers and steal food from the homeless," he said.

Trudeau Is Completely Ignoring Freedom Convoy's Message

Both Canadians and Americans are fed up with the vaccine mandates that have taken over the entire country over the last two years. The Freedom Convoy is the perfect representation of just how fed up people are. However, Trudeau has utterly failed to address this. He continuously dodges the issue at hand and instead chooses woke buzzwords to shift people's attention away from what really matters: people's livelihoods are being irrevocably altered for the worse due to the arbitrary vaccine mandates.

The longer Trudeau attempts to make this about racism, the more he makes himself look like either a fool or a power-hungry leader who refuses to care about how his citizens are faring in the wake of coronavirus restrictions and mandates.

Minorities Are the Least Likely To Get Vaccinated

It's ironic at best to watch Trudeau flip over backwards to try and make this about racism, especially considering the fact that black and Hispanic individuals are statistically the least likely to get the coronavirus vaccine. And this is not because the vaccine isn't readily available to them, rather they're intentionally skeptical of the shot.

This is a fact that has been widely ignored by most politicians, which is only a reminder that leaders like Trudeau don't care at all about the wellbeing of their constituents, but rather about enforcing pointless vaccine mandates that have real consequences on everyday people and their livelihood.
