Before she started documenting her cancer journey, Sydney Towle was like a lot of women in their early 20s online. She posted videos of herself dancing, traveling, getting dressed and spending time with friends. Even after she was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer, she tried to keep doing those things. Because she continued traveling, exercising and enjoying her life during treatment, some people online began accusing her of lying about having cancer.
