Influencer Says That Being Overweight Is The "Smartest" Thing You Can Do To Prepare For The Apocalypse
A TikTok influencer named Abby recently went viral for claiming that being overweight is the "smartest" way to prepare for the Apocalypse.

"Just imagine the zombie apocalypse and there's no food left," says Abby in the video. "Overweight people keep all the food in their belly, therefore they would live longer than people who aren't overweight."
She concludes this big-brain thinking with a smug smirk and a giggle.
Commenters had a field day.
"Not if you're slower than a zombie," wrote one person.
"I think about not being able to outrun, not being able to fit through narrow spaces, hungrier than the average person, the sweating and smelling between folds with no showering, the chafing. It's going to be a BAD time for us," wrote another.
Others responded by insisting it was just a joke, but a few people pointed out that most of Abby's videos are about normalizing or even glamourizing obesity despite the well-documented health problems associated with it, so the joke isn't particularly funny.
One person used the post as an opportunity to share her own body positivity story.
"I was very overweight but ever since I lost it, my life is constantly better," wrote one user. 'I feel like I can do so much more."
Others in the comment section celebrated her achievement and growing happiness, which seems to be a growing sentiment among those who have experienced being overweight versus being healthier.
Personal satisfaction aside, it's also worth noting from a health perspective that being fit might be a much better advantage in the apocalypse.
For example, it'll be much easier to eat smaller portions and outrun a zombie when you're already used to a routine of self-discipline and frequent exercise.
