I Was a Sorority Girl Deep in Hookup Culture. Nobody Told Me What Consent Actually Meant.
I remember the dorm shower, but I don't remember his name.

Recently, consent has been a topic taking over much more of my mind than I'd prefer. I've been under international emergency legal counsel over rental contracts for the business I run with my husband. This has me thinking about things I have agreed to, things I thought I agreed to, things I didn't agree to but the fine print tries to imply I agreed to, and so on. All of the alleged agreeing does not take away a gnawing feeling of violation that felt all too familiar. A feeling of: this is not really what I understood I was giving you permission to do.
