Especially during the summer months, when the sun is hot, the hydrangeas are blooming, and you can’t walk a block without bumping into a local establishment slinging fresh crab cakes and lobster rolls. Just as magical: the chic, coastal fashion the area is known for.

I’ve lived in upstate New York my whole life, but I like to pretend I’m a New Englander. It’s hard not to be enchanted by everything the region has to offer. The upper East Coast is rich in history, overrun with academic prestige (fellow Gilmore Girls fans, you know it’s a vibe), and downright spoiled when it comes to the seasons.
