How Does Lindsay Lohan Look More Beautiful Than Ever?

Lindsay Lohan appears to be aging backward – could this be the reason why?

Lindsay Lohan is breaking the laws of time and biology, and everyone (including me, honestly) is eating it up. I cannot escape the before-and-after videos of the Freaky Friday star – years ago, she somehow looked a bit older than she does today. But at 38, she’s glowing, fresh-faced, and more beautiful than ever. Not that 38 is old or anything, but we can’t deny that Lohan looks like she’s back in her 20s.

Naturally, everyone wants to know Lohan's anti-aging secrets. Social media users are joking that she must have taken “The Substance,” a nod to Demi Moore’s recent body horror film in which she seeks to create a more “enhanced” and youthful version of herself. The most likely answer, according to viewers, is that she just went under the knife.

On X (formerly Twitter), user @theecho13 shared her insights on cosmetic procedures while quote-tweeting a before-and-after pic of Lohan. She wrote: "This is very real and costs between 200-300k, depending on how much damage has been done from previous surgeries and treatments or age. The plastic surgeon who does this surgery is based in New York and is an expert in doing ‘everything at once.’”

She continued, “Instead of a regular face lift, they go through and lift every part of the face individually which stops the face from looking ‘pulled’ and instead relocates skin, tissue and fat pads to where they were originally. When the face is still it looks pretty natural, when it moves it just looks botoxed. Unless you saw the before and afters you would never guess how extreme this surgery was. This isn’t skincare, lasers, facials or treatments, it’s extreme and expensive surgery. Don’t let these people sell you products that ‘made them look younger.’"

Others on Reddit hypothesize that the actress got a "facelift," "lasers to remove freckles," and "probably fat transfer to the face as well to add volume."

Meanwhile, @dina.fierro chimed in with her two cents on Threads, writing, "Word on the street (TikTok, to be clear) is Dr. Steven Levine did her work and that his other clients include Demi Moore and Brad Pitt."

Demi Moore went viral earlier this year for the same reasons as Lohan. At the premiere of her FX show Capote vs. The Swans, the 62-year-old showed up with a snatched jawline and glowing skin. Moore looked the same as she did two decades ago. Hypothetically speaking, if she did have the same doctor as Lohan, I’d be inclined to believe it.

Social media seems convinced that the wizard responsible for these celebrity facelifts is Dr. Steven Levine, a plastic surgeon based in New York City. According to his website, Dr. Levine is known for his “natural-looking enhancements” and specializes in face lifts, eyelid rejuvenation, rhinoplasty, and more. The key to his work is avoiding the dreaded “pulled” look and instead restoring the face to its younger, natural state. He's apparently "one of the best plastic surgeons in NYC and has "been selected as one of the 'Best Plastic Surgeons' by SuperDoctors and NY Top Docs."

Closing Thoughts

Does Lohan owe her glow-up to a masterful surgeon? Maybe, so let’s not kid ourselves into thinking this kind of transformation is accessible to the average person. However, aging gracefully doesn’t have to mean booking an appointment with a top doctor and paying six figures. A healthy lifestyle (think proper nutrition, staying out of the sun, moisturizing, and maintaining a good skincare routine) can go a long way in keeping your skin radiant.

We might not wake up looking like 2024 Lindsay Lohan, but we can at least invest in the basics. The substance may not be real, but good habits and self-care are.
