Hollister Just Announced A 2000s Collection And It's Peak Millennial Mall Rat Energy

If you ever cried in a Hollister dressing room while texting on your pink Razr, this one’s for you.

The year was 2007. Our jeans were low, our tank tops were layered (and layered again), and our dreams smelled vaguely like coconut body spray and cologne worn by boys named Cody. Hollister wasn’t just a store, it was a lifestyle. You didn’t shop there so much as become the kind of girl who shopped there. She had side bangs, a crush on someone in a band, and took mirror selfies with a flash on. She was everything.

So imagine my millennial heart when Hollister announced a full-blown 2000s collection. I didn’t walk, I sprinted (digitally) back to that beachy moose-scented sanctuary of my youth.

And I wasn’t the only one. The comments on one of the now-viral Instagram try-on reels were like a time capsule with WiFi:

  • “Is it weird that I can smell this video?” (No. It smells like home.)

  • “You look like you’re late to first period AP English.” (And trying to avoid eye contact with your ex.)

  • “The chokehold the double layered tank + extra long shirt had on me.” (Still hasn’t let go.)

  • “Even the Hollister dressing room dust is the same.” (It’s called exfoliation, babe.)

  • “Can we just go back to this era? Because being an adult is overrated.” (Deep sigh of agreement while paying bills.)

The official Hollister Y2K collection doesn’t drop until the 29th (mark your Lisa Frank planner), but that doesn’t mean we can’t get a head start. Hollister’s current assortment is already giving major 2000s energy. Think layered tanks, low-rise denim, and enough faded graphic tees to make your inner 14-year-old squeal. Below, we’ve rounded up our favorite throwback-inspired pieces you can shop now while you count down to the official launch.

So grab your frappuccino, open a Photo Booth tab, and embrace the warm, dusty glow of nostalgia. This drop isn’t just a trend. It’s a love letter to the girls we used to be, and the beachy, broody chaos they brought with them.
