Hailey Bieber, formerly known as Hailey Baldwin, was candid with her followers about a health scare she experienced in April 2022. She announced that she suffered a blood clot in her brain that came from a few different factors: starting to take a birth control pill, she recently had coronavirus, and she had just taken two long international flights in a row. Hailey started to exhibit symptoms of a stroke over breakfast with her husband Justin Bieber one day, but fortunately she was able to get the help she needed and she recovered swiftly. But in a recent Instagram story, Hailey also shared that she is currently dealing with a large cyst on her ovary.

Hailey shared a photo of herself with her shirt lifted so you can see her abdomen. She wrote a few things on the picture to describe what she's currently dealing with. "I have a cyst on my ovary the size of an apple," she said. "I don't have endometriosis or PCOS but I have gotten an ovarian cyst a few times and it's never fun."

She wrote the phrase "not a baby" next to her belly to make sure people don't mistake the photo for a pregnancy reveal. She went on to describe what the cyst feels like: "it's painful and achey and makes me feel nauseous and bloated and cramps and emotional."

Ovarian cysts are little sacs that are filled with fluid. They're common, according to medical experts, and they usually disappear within a couple months without any medical intervention. There are more than 3 million cases of ovarian cysts each year in the US and you can receive a lab test or imaging from your doctor to get a better idea of how large the cyst is.

Common symptoms of an ovarian cyst include menstrual irregularities, irregular bowel movements, bloating, cramps, and even pain during intercourse. The first way that doctors attempt to treat ovarian cysts is to let the body run its course and see if it will naturally take care of it. However, if the cyst becomes larger and more painful, doctors can suggest medication or even surgery.

"I'm sure a lot of you can overly relate and understand," Hailey wrote at the bottom of her picture. "We got this."

She didn't specify whether she visited a doctor and whether she was provided instruction on how to heal her cyst. If you speculate that you may be dealing with an ovarian cyst, visit your medical provider as soon as possible for more information.
