She and ex-boyfriend, soccer player Gerard Piqué, announced their split in June 2022. They share two children together, Milan and Sasha. They first met in 2010 and made their red carpet debut in 2012, but never got married. In an interview with "60 Minutes" in 2020, Shakira admitted that marriage "scares the sh*t" out of her, and she would rather have Gerard see her as his girlfriend than as his wife. But two years later, Shakira announced that she and Gerard were separating. It turned out their relationship didn't end so well.
