Disney is reportedly eyeing Ayo Edebiri for a leading role in "Pirates 6," and Elon Musk is not impressed.

Disney Insider Daniel Richtman reveals that The Bear actress Ayo Edebiri may join the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, or, at the very least, star in the next film. Richtman alleges that the rising star is being eyed to be the protagonist in the sixth film. In addition, Inside The Magic reported that Depp will not be in the upcoming movies, and Margot Robbie was initially targeted for the role. Is it possible that Edebiri will replace the beloved Jack Sparrow?

Another rumor states that Robbie wanted her role in the Pirates movie to be LGBTQ+.

The film will apparently be about a black female character named Anne and a group of "much younger pirates searching for new treasure." However, they also note that "Edebiri's casting is far from official" and has "yet to be confirmed by a major trade or Disney itself" and to take the announcement "with a grain of salt."

Nonetheless, the rumor has already gone viral, even garnering the attention of Elon Musk himself. "Disney sucks," he wrote on X.

Rumors aside, Disney is going downhill. At the time of writing, the media company is worth $181.49 billion, yet they give us remake after remake. They focus on recasting white characters with black actors and actresses rather than creating new films for them, for everyone, and I swear they do it to create conflict and outrage. It's their way of staying relevant because even their fanbase is tired of the poor animation, lazy writing, and live adaptations. The magic is gone.

With or without Edebiri, I don't expect Pirates of the Caribbean 6 to be good. On IMDB, the Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (the fifth one) received a 6.5 out of 10, 30% on RottenTomatoes, and a MetaScore of 39.

Unless Disney is focused on writing a great plot rather than making another cash grab, I can't say for certain the next movie will be a hit. So I have to agree with Musk on this one – Disney sucks.
