The Rock is one of America’s national treasures who started off as a wrestler and is now a blockbuster actor. While he has secured his place as an A-list celebrity, he has always been a family-oriented guy.
His prolific career of acting, entrepreneurship, and wrestling has given him a lot to be thankful for. It's estimated that The Rock is worth roughly $800 million. The 50-year-old has three children and is known to dote on his mother, gladly sharing the wealth he has created with his family. His latest gift to his mother was a brand-new home in Encino, CA.

For those of us who have always had supportive parents, it means the world to us to be able to support them as they get older. That's especially true for The Rock. He spent eight weeks with a design team creating a stunning new home for his mother—and she had no idea until he brought her to the front door.
The Rock shared a short video a couple days ago showing his mom entering her brand-new house for the first time. He has purchased homes for his mom before, but this one was special because he wanted to grant her wish with one last home where she could live out the rest of her days.
“When I was a little boy, I hated when my mom would cry ~ these days, I’ll happily take her tears of joy,” he wrote in the caption of his Instagram post. “I surprised my mom and bought her a new home. Took me and my design team 8 weeks to get it ready, where she could walk thru her front door for the very first time and everything she saw was brand new and a total surprise.”
“I’ve been lucky enough to have bought her a few homes over the years, but this one is special as she’s told me over and over these past few years, ‘After a lifetime of traveling, I want this home to be my last. Thats my dream,’ ” he continued. “Mom, there’s no greater feeling than to make you happy ~ welcome home.”
The Rock spent $3.48 million on his mom's new Cape Cod-style home, which has six bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, and over 4,400 square feet. His mom shed tears of joy as she glanced around the place for the first time. There are personal touches to the home, such as a collection of vintage ukuleles mounted on a wall, a "Smackdown Room" with memorabilia, and the "Le Samoana" sign at the entrance that pays tribute to his mom's Samoan ancestry.
He reminded everyone to "give our mamas a big grateful squeeze this weekend and make 'em happy" because having a good mom is what gives us "a shot at becoming a good, caring human being."
