Dua Lipa Calls Her Engagement To Callum Turner “A Decision to Grow Old Together”
Dua Lipa has officially confirmed her engagement to British actor Callum Turner!

Dua Lipa, 30, the London-born pop queen behind disco-inspired chart-toppers like “Don’t Start Now” and “Levitating,” has confirmed her engagement to fiancé Callum Turner. Turner, 35, is an English actor best known for his roles in Fantastic Beasts and the war drama Masters of the Air.
While rumors swirled through social media after an Instagram post revealed a ring, Lipa acknowledged the happy news during a recent feature with British Vogue.
Their Love Story
Their romance blossomed shortly after crossing paths at The River Café in London in early 2024. They were reintroduced to each other in Los Angeles at dinner with mutual friends when they realized they were both reading the same book.
“He asked me what I was reading," Lipa explained, who describes herself as "book-obsessive." "I said Trust [the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Hernan Diaz.] And we both just happened to be reading the same book."
In British Vogue, Dua makes the moment feel almost magical: “One thousand per cent [I felt] we were destined to be together.”
By January, they went public dancing at Turner’s premiere after-party in Los Angeles, and have since been a fixture at high-profile events like Glastonbury, the Met Gala, and glamorous stops throughout Lipa’s Radical Optimism tour, from Manila to Paris.
The Proposal
According to Page Six, Lipa confirmed Turner proposed over Christmas 2024, capping off a year marked by Grammy nods and sold‑out shows. In Vogue, she described the engagement as a “meaningful decision to grow old together…to be best friends forever.”
Turner worked closely with Lipa’s sister, Rina, and her friends to create a ring that’s distinctly her: a bold, chunky gold band holding a classic solitaire. Lipa shared, "I’m obsessed with it. It’s so me. It’s nice to know the person that you’re going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well."
What’s Next?
No wedding date yet. With Lipa touring through December and Turner filming, a big New Year’s Eve celebration in London is in the works, though the formal planning will wait. They’ve spoken openly about someday having children, navigating careers, and parenting together when the time is right.
In her British Vogue interview, Dua Lipa expressed a desire to become a mother someday. “It’s like the constant question of when would there ever be a good time—how it would fit in with my job and how it would work if I went on tour, and how much time out I’d have to take," she shared. “I love kids, but I think there’s so much more to raising a child than just loving children.”
