Celebrities have been chiming in about the ex-couple's legal battle just as much as anyone else, including Drew Barrymore, who talked briefly about the court case on her daytime talk show "The Drew Barrymore Show."

“It’s like one layer of crazy, it’s a seven-layer dip of insanity," Barrymore said on her show. "I know that these are two people’s real lives, and I know what it’s like to have your life put out in public. I understand all the feelings, but they are actually offering up this information that nobody had to know. This is crazy!”

Barrymore isn't happy with what she said, though, and she's offering an apology.

Drew Barrymore Apologizes for Her Comments about Johnny Depp and Amber Heard

On her Instagram, Barrymore posted a one-minute video in which she apologized for offending people with her take on the Depp-Heard trial. Apparently, she received some backlash from her followers and supporters from what she said.

"It has come to my attention that I have offended people with making light of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, and for that I just want to deeply apologize and appreciate everyone who spoke out because this can be a teachable moment for me and how I move forward and how I conduct myself," Barrymore said.

“All I want to do is be a good person,” Barrymore continued. “I can be a more thoughtful and better person moving forward because all I want to do is be a good person, and I very much appreciate the depth of this, and I will grow and change from it."

Barrymore thanked everyone for "helping me grow along the way and teaching me."

Most people in the comment section are praising her for apologizing, but there are many others who aren't taking her apology seriously and insist that she's only saying sorry because of the backlash she received.
