Parton’s family confirmed her death on Tuesday , August 25. Her nephew Bryan Seaver announced the news in an Instagram video on behalf of the Parton and Owens families. A cause of death has not yet been publicly disclosed. The news comes just four days after Parton shared a hopeful update about her health and the projects she still wanted to complete. “Even though I’m still healin’, I’m still workin’,” she told People . “I’ve dreamed myself into a corner and I still have so many things I want to achieve.” Dolly Parton Had Recently Opened Up About Her Health In the months before her death, Parton had become more candid about the health problems that forced her to step back from several public commitments.
