We’re so used to being inundated with beta males in Hollywood that when we finally see one stand up for family values, it seems like a mirage.

32-year-old Australian actor Chris Hemsworth sat down with Modern Luxury this month to discuss balancing family and fame. He divulged, “I love what I do as an actor, but when you are surrounded by it constantly, it becomes a bit suffocating. It’s nice to have conversations with people and be a part of a community that doesn’t live and breathe that world.”

Hemsworth continues, “We were living shoulder to shoulder in the suburbs and thought that’s not how we want our kids to grow up. Moving to a kind of farm setup back here on the coast in Australia has been the best thing.”

Continuing about his three kids, Hemsworth said they’ve helped him step out of the "self-absorbed world" of acting. "It's no longer all about me, which is quite refreshing," he said. "Once the kids arrived, I was like, 'Wow, this is what life is about.’" At one point he vulnerably shared that when he’s not working, he’s waiting for his kids to come give him a hug and tell him they love him.

Hemsworth has been People’s Sexiest Man Alive and won countless awards for his acting, but the hottest thing about him has to be the fact that he chose to move his family out of the spotlight and out of LA to Australia so that they’d remain close and have a sense of normalcy. We have no choice but to stan.
