Chinese Virologist Who Defected To U.S. Says She Can Prove Covid-19 Is Manmade

Last night, in a Fox News interview, Dr. Li-Meng Yan, 36, a medical doctor and virologist who defected from China, claimed that the Chinese Communist Party manufactured and released a Frankenstein's monster virus — COVID-19.

What’s her proof?

Yan Was Researching COVID-19 from the Beginning

Up until April 2020, Yan worked at Asia’s top virology lab — the P3 Lab at the University of Hong Kong, which is also a World Health Organization reference lab specializing in influenza viruses and pandemics.

In multiple interviews with American news outlets, Yan has detailed how her supervisor Dr. Leo Poon asked her to investigate a cluster of SARS-like cases in Wuhan in December 2019. Yan reached out to her network of medical and scientific contacts around China, from whom she learned that there was a new virus capable of human to human transmission. But then her contacts suddenly stopped talking. Yan says they told her, “We can't talk about it, but we need to wear masks.”

Yan began to investigate a cluster of SARS-like cases in Wuhan in December 2019.

When Yan reported her findings to Poon, he reportedly told her "to keep silent and be careful," as the CCP was already asserting the virus originated at a wet market in Wuhan. Yan said he warned her, “Don't touch the red line [the government]. We will get in trouble and we'll be disappeared." [sic]

Yan believes the virus was created in the lab and released on purpose.

For the next three months, Yan stayed silent but continued her research. The result of which was her discovery that COVID-19 “has two artificial, man-made ‘insertions’ that make it particularly deadly to human beings. The first ‘insertion’ allows it to spread easily from person-to-person, while the second ‘insertion’ allows the virus to infect different kinds of tissue once it is already in the human body.”

Yan claims the insertions were added to a “backbone” coronavirus, which is internationally registered under ZC45 and owned by the People’s Liberation Army biowarfare labs.

Yan claims the insertions were added to a “backbone” coronavirus owned by the People’s Liberation Army.

“The Wuhan lab was collecting hundreds of coronavirus from all over China,” Yan said. “They claimed it was to better predict future coronavirus epidemics that might emerge from nature. But if they were worried about a coronavirus epidemic, why weren’t they making any effort into vaccine research, as we were doing in our lab in Hong Kong?”

Additionally, the CCP controls all labs, and the Wuhan lab specifically is under the supervision of Major General Chen Wei, who also happens to be an epidemiologist and a bioweapons expert.

Furthermore, the Wuhan lab has specific protocols to prevent the escape of a virus. Yan said, “It was not an accident. No one in the lab got sick or died. There are always two people in the lab. No live virus would be able to escape.”

All of these factors lead Yan to believe that the CCP “intentionally” released the virus.

Other Virologists Agree the Virus Isn’t from Nature

Yan’s findings have been published in a new paper, titled “Unusual Features of the SARS-CoV-2 Genome Suggesting Sophisticated Laboratory Modification Rather Than Natural Evolution and Delineation of Its Probable Synthetic Route.”

Yan said, “Any scientist who has this knowledge will know that it is not from nature.”

Other virologists from around the world are corroborating Yan’s assertion.

“Any scientist who has this knowledge will know that it is not from nature.”

Norwegian virologist Birger Sorensen said, “The properties that we now see in the virus, we have yet to discover anywhere in nature. We know that these properties make the virus very infectious, so if it came from nature, there should also be many animals infected with this, but we have still not been able to trace the virus in nature.”

Australian director endocrinology at Flinders University, Nikolai Petrokvsy, also said that the virus could be man-made: “Our own research, which is currently under review and was based on rigorous molecular modeling, revealed some highly unexpected findings for a virus postulated to have recently crossed from animal to humans. From the very earliest isolates, it was uniquely adapted to infect humans above other species we tested.”

The Price of Telling the Truth

Yan knew that in order to tell the truth about Covid-19 she would have to leave China.

"I know how they treat whistleblowers," she said.

So she determined to leave China, even though that meant leaving her family and her husband behind. “I tried to persuade my husband who worked in the same lab to come with me,” she said. “But I failed.”

"I know how they treat whistleblowers."

Since landing in Los Angeles on April 28, Yan has been fired by the University of Hong Kong and pushed away by her family.

“I do this because I am a scientist and I know the truth and I want to tell it to the world,” she said. “But if they find me, they will kill me.”

Closing Thoughts

Fox News interviewer Tucker Carlson asked Yan why other scientific institutions weren’t speaking up to confirm her findings. Yan blames the long reach of the Chinese Communist Party and its allies in the scientific community, which, if that’s the case, is pretty terrifying.
