Can Being on a GLP-1 Affect Your Chances of Getting a Job or a Date? A Recent Harvard Study Says Yes
A recent study from a Harvard economist suggests GLP-1s can reverse the obesity penalty in dating and the job market, where first impressions matter most.

Last month, Harvard economist Rebecca Diamond decided to put an observation she'd recorded from women who had lost a lot of weight to the test. She kept hearing from women who had gone on GLP-1s that the way they were treated pre- and post-weight loss was like night and day. Diamond was curious how this could play out in a woman's social and economic outcomes. Despite the "beauty premium" being a well-documented phenomenon, there haven't been any substantial studies on the economic or social outcomes of GLP-1 drugs as there have been with bariatric surgery. What she found was illuminating but hardly surprising.
