There have been many actresses in the last several years who have spoken up about unequal pay, especially when compared to their male counterparts. Emmy Rossum fought for equal pay across from William H. Macy in "Shameless," and Ellen Pompeo said she almost quit "Grey's Anatomy" when she found out Patrick Dempsey was getting paid almost twice her salary. Bryce Dallas Howard is the latest actress to raise awareness about the so-called pay gap.

Bryce and Chris starred in three movies of the "Jurassic World" franchise. In a recent interview with Insider, Bryce revealed that she was initially paid less than Chris was, leaving her feeling as if she was being treated unfairly.

"The reports were so interesting because I was paid so much less than the reports even said, so much less," Howard said. "When I started negotiating for 'Jurassic,' it was 2014, and it was a different world, and I was at a great disadvantage. And, unfortunately, you have to sign up for three movies, and so your deals are set."

She said she and Chris "discussed it," which encouraged her to fight for more equality, especially when it comes to receiving equal pay for franchise opportunities involving video games and theme-park rides.

"Whenever there was an opportunity to move the needle on stuff that hadn't been already negotiated, like a game or a ride, he literally told me: 'You guys don't even have to do anything. I'm gonna do all the negotiating. We're gonna be paid the same, and you don't have to think about this, Bryce,'" Howard said.

"And I love him so much for doing that. I really do, because I've been paid more for those kinds of things than I ever was for the movie," she continued.

Bryce stars as Claire Dearing in the "Jurassic World" trilogy and you can watch "Jurassic World: Dominion" in theaters now.
