Brooke Shields Sheds Tears On TikTok After Saying Goodbye To Her Daughter Who's Going Back To College: "I Miss Her Already"
You may know Brooke Shields as a glamorous supermodel, but she's showing the relatable side of her life on TikTok. She posted a teary video talking about how hard it was to say goodbye to her daughter as she went back to college.
Brooke Shields, 57, was only 12 years old when she stepped into the spotlight. Although she's known to most people as a supermodel, she's a mom first and foremost who finds it hard to say goodbye to her daughter after a summer together.
Brooke Shields Sheds Tears on TikTok After Saying Goodbye to Her Daughter Who's Going Back to College
With more than 487,000 followers on TikTok, Brooke shares moments of her everyday life, and there's one moment in particular that has gone viral. She posted a video in which she shared that her daughter Rowan, 19, is going back to college for her second year at Wake Forest University in North Carolina. Brooke fought through tears to share with her followers that it was extremely difficult to say goodbye.
"I just waved my daughter goodbye again and I thought it would be easier the second time because she's already been away and she's been with me all summer," she said.
Brooke also shared that she sent Rowan back to college with her car as a "graduation present car" so she'll be driving that back to campus. Brooke also said it was "just too painful" to make the drive with her to college so her husband is going with Rowan instead.
“I don’t think I can go through the driving away from campus again. So if there’s anybody else going through this, we’re all in it together," she added. “Oh, it’s so hard. I miss her already. Our babies… This is what you want, you raise them so that they leave you.”
There were multiple comments from other moms who are going through a similar experience with their children. Many moms said it just never gets easier, no matter how much you prepare yourself for it. Others praised Brooke for being so raw and real.
