Britney has posted various Instagram pictures and captions about her experiences with the conservatorship. She revealed that she was pressured to take antipsychotic drugs used to treat bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and other depressive disorders, claiming that she texted her mom multiple times to plead for help (she even shared the screenshots) but she never got any responses.

She has even said that her father always told her she was a "heavy girl" and that she felt so insecure about her body that she almost had a breast enhancement. Britney has said that she felt like she was stuck in a cult. She has no contact with her parents today, but her mother Lynne Spears is trying her best to reach her.

On October 1, Britney posted a graphic on her Instagram with the phrase, "I'm not perfect but I'm me." In the caption she wrote about how painful it is that her family won't apologize to her after all these years. "For me the real problem to me is that my family to this day honestly have no conscious whatsoever and really believe in their minds they have done nothing wrong at all," she wrote. "They could at least take responsibility for their actions and actually own up to the fact they hurt me."

Britney said even "a genuine apology" would help her achieve a sense of closure, and their silence just indicates that she doesn't have the type of family "that values me or respects me... AT ALL." As much as she loves them, Britney says she doesn't think she can just get over this kind of pain.

"When I post in those moments, I just want to speak from my heart cause it’s extremely hard for me and then I look back and I see how many people say get over it," she continues. "I’m working on becoming stronger."

Her mother Lynne, 67, asked for Britney's forgiveness in the comment section. "I am soooo sorry for your pain! I have been sorry for years!” she wrote. “I love you so much and miss you! Britney, deep down you know how much I love and miss you! I apologize for anything and everything that’s hurt you!”

Lynne also requested that Britney "please unblock" her so they can speak again in person (presumably, she's asking for Britney to unblock her phone number). A source told Page Six that Lynne has been trying to get in touch with Britney over the phone for a long time but she feels "helpless," leaving her with "no choice but to resort to social media."

Sources have also said that the relationship was much worse between Britney and her father, and that Lynne actually didn't play much of a role in the conservatorship. Either way, sadly it doesn't look like the two will be reconciling anytime soon.
