While you may know Blake Lively from Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants or Gossip Girl, she’s also a business owner and a mother who is deeply devoted to her family. She opened up to Forbes about her latest business venture and why she decided to take on this new project. But even though she’s excited about Betty Buzz, she can’t help but gush about her family life and how fulfilled it makes her.

Blake Lively Feels “More Confident” Than Ever about Her Body after Giving Birth to 3 Children

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds tied the knot in 2012 and they have since welcomed three children into the world—all girls. The couple always stuns on the red carpet with their incredible fashion and chemistry, but the everyday joy of parenting is what lights Lively up. She talked about the joy of having authorship in her career now after spending so many years just saying yes to any acting job that will take her.

“Once I had children, that just became even more profound because my time was even more precious, but also I think having children for me made me feel so much more in my skin,” she explained. “I never felt more myself or at ease in my own body or more confident—not to say that there aren't a bevy of insecurities coming at me a million times a day, but I just feel incredibly settled."

Having children has made Lively want to do more “meaningful collaborations” in her career and take control over her professional adventures. This has given her more happiness in her work than ever before. For example, being the co-chair at the Met Gala was a dream come true for her.

“That goes back to in everything I do and everything I touch—I get very involved in all of the details,” she added. “Getting to work with these designers and these tailors and these seamstresses and embroiderers who are just at the top of their craft.”

But even though she loves fashion, she admits that her number one priority will always be her family. She’s one of five siblings and she loves having “a large family of my own.”

“That’s part of the reason why Betty Buzz was important to us, that my kids could drink them, as well as me,” she said. “That it wouldn’t be ingredients that I would feel bad about them putting in their bodies.”

At the end of the day, Blake Lively wants her children to be proud of her gowns, her films, and her business. “Family is at the root of everything I do and it’s why I feel good about what I’m doing because it has a real meaning and heart behind it all," she concluded.
