Amy Schumer Announces Her Plans "To Feel Hot" This Summer After A C-Section, Hysterectomy, And Liposuction
In May 2019, Amy Schumer gave birth to her first baby Gene with her husband Chris Fischer. She had a tough pregnancy that included hyperemesis gravidarum, which is acute morning sickness.
Schumer, 40, attempted to go through IVF in order to conceive a second baby with her husband. "I did IVF, we made embryos and I went through the IVF process, which is so hard. People do it so many times. I did it one time and I was like, I'm gonna die. This is awful," she said in an interview with Chelsea Handler. "I got like 31 eggs and I was like, I'm Fertile Myrtle. I felt very hot. And then the drop off after fertilization, we only got one normal embryo and we tried and it didn't work…and now I don't have a uterus."
Last year in the fall, Schumer had to get a hysterectomy as well as an appendix removal in order to treat her endometriosis. The doctor found 30 endometriosis spots that spread from her uterus to her appendix.

In a recent Instagram post, Schumer says she has big plans for this summer and she wants to feel confident about herself. She had a C-section to deliver Gene, followed by her hysterectomy last year, and she also revealed that she got liposuction.
Schumer wore a black corset bodysuit with high heels as she walked into what appears to be a home gym. "C section. Hysterectomy. Lipo," she wrote in the caption. "This summer is about letting the love in. Trying to be healthy and strong for myself and my family. I want to feel hot too. In my prime. Let’s go. Who’s with me?"
The comments are overwhelmingly positive and in support of Schumer's declaration. She doesn't go into anymore detail about why and when she chose to get liposuction, but one can only assume it was done after she received her hysterectomy. Her message is of course being hailed as a body positive one and she's being praised for her honesty, but there are plenty of women wondering why Schumer would need to get liposuction if she is trying to be "healthy and strong" and embrace her natural beauty.
