Amber Heard Testifies About The First Time Johnny Depp Allegedly Abused Her, And The Internet Is Not Believing A Word

The Hollywood couple married in 2015 after a whirlwind romance, but they were divorced shortly after in 2017. It was a messy breakup that included many allegations of abuse. Amber Heard accused her ex of striking her and leaving bruises on her body, but it turned out that she staged a whole crime scene.

The trial in Virginia has become headline news as people watch both Depp and Heard take the stand and share their side of the story. Depp himself shared moments of alleged abuse at the hands of his ex-wife. But this week, Heard took the stand for the first time and gave her testimony.

Amber Heard Testifies About the First Time Johnny Depp Allegedly Abused Her

Heard told the whole story of her romance with Depp, from the moment they met to what it was like working together to their eventual marriage. She said he was kind and lavished her with gifts, even before they were actually a couple.

She said she was first slapped by Depp in 2012, and it happened after Heard laughed at one of Depp's tattoos (the one that says "wino," which used to apparently say "Winona" as Winona Ryder was his ex). Heard said he slapped her in the face after she laughed, and she was so in shock that she didn't know what else to do but laugh.

"I laughed," she said. "I laughed because I didn't know what else to do. I thought, This must be a joke. This must be a joke, because I didn't know what was going on. I just stared at him, kind of laughing at him still, thinking he was going to start laughing too, to tell me it was a joke."

That's when Depp allegedly slapped her a second time and said, "You think you're a funny bitch?"

Heard said Depp slapped her yet again, this time throwing her off balance and bringing her to the ground. She teared up on the stand and said that she didn't want to leave him.

"I didn't want to leave him," Heard said. "I didn't want this to be the reality. I didn't want to have the man I was in love with – I know you don't come back from that, you know. I'm not dumb. I knew you can't hit a woman. I knew you can't hit a man."

Heard also shared accounts of Depp being very jealous about her interacting with other people at a party and doing a "cavity search" on her in order to find drugs.

The Internet Is Not Believing Amber Heard's Testimony

While there are multiple media companies that are trying to paint Heard in a sympathetic light, the internet is not going along for the ride. In fact, there are increasingly more and more people who express disdain toward Heard and the act that she's putting on.

She's being accused of fake crying (without any real tears) and pausing for pictures while on the stand. "I feel like I'm watching Amber heard playing the role of Amber heard in a made for tv movie about Johnny Depp. Its wild," one user wrote. "The way she's acting for the jury doesn't feel authentic, sounds like what Dr Curry described in her testimony."

It seems that the longer this trial goes on, the more people are siding with Johnny Depp and wishing him well as he recovers from an abusive relationship.
