17-Year-Old "Kid Loki" Actor Left Homeless—Here's How Social Media Came To His Rescue
In a new update, Jack Veal says he is no longer homeless, thanks to the outcry that followed his TikTok videos.

At just 17, Jack Veal has already appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, playing Kid Loki in Loki, and has even appeared in the acclaimed dark comedy The End of the F**ing World. Despite his impressive background, Veal recently revealed on TikTok that became homeless in London, England, and, like many child stars, is fighting a system that failed to protect him.
“Hi, I’m a famous actor, I’m 17 and I’m homeless. You may know me from Loki, End of the F**ing World* or various other movies where I played important roles. I haven’t mentioned much about what’s been going on in my life, I think it’s time to reveal the truth,” Veal said in a TikTok video earlier this week.
Veal shared that that he has autism, ADHD, and is being screened for bipolar disorder and psychosis. “I was abused at home. I was physical, violent, emotional, abuse, etc. I didn’t have a very good upbringing.”
Veal described his current living situation: “I’m currently sleeping in a trailer that has smashed-in windows, is unsafe, is two hours away from my work. It means I struggle to get to work every day. It’s difficult. Life is hard. At the moment I have nothing else. I’m on my knees begging for this, for you guys to just share this, do something, spread the message of how the government are treating kids.”
Social Services Fail Children
Veal didn’t hold back, openly criticizing social services for failing to provide the care he needed. “Social services refuses to help me, despite what I have told them. I am desperate.”
He explained that staying with family wasn’t an option either. “I can’t stand my grandparents as my grandmother is terminally unwell. I have nowhere else to go, and I need help,” he said.
The worst part is that a meeting with the Islington Council left him even more disillusioned. In a fiery update, he said, “I went to the meeting (with the council), they’ve told me I need to be street homeless again or return home, which I can’t do until they find me a foster care placement – which might take a while. They’re telling me days, which is probably going to be weeks because they lie.”
Veal’s story has sparked a wave of support on social media. Fans flooded his TikTok with messages kind comments.
The support from social media had a massive impact. Influencers began making videos about Veal's situation, and users reposted his story to X/Twitter. Yesterday, Veal shared a much-needed update with all of us: “I just got a call from social services saying they want a meeting with me tomorrow to potentially get me into foster care and support and accommodations. I don’t know what you guys have done, but it’s gotten out there, and it’s really, really helped me. They’re taking action now.”
In a follow-up video, Veal said, “I’ve only got a placement, and it’s amazing. I’ve just left Luca. That was really, really emotional; she’s helped me through everything. And everyone here is super nice. And all of you guys… I don’t like crying on camera, it’s weird. But yeah, all of you guys, if it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t have got anything.”
The story doesn’t end here, though. Veal remains in temporary accommodations and continues to advocate for change, pointing out the systemic issues that led to his plight. “They eventually called me after I had interviewed a journalist and told me that they changed their minds and they’re going to give me an emergency placement. And that was all because of you.”
